Tried to search for reviews of it but couldn't find any, and YouTube videos of it are again mostly on Slavic languages.
Wondering if any of you guys own/use one before? How does it compare with S2+?

Hello guys, yesterday I just discovered the existence of Convoy S8. Seems mostly same as S2+ but with crenelated bezel and slightly beefier fins.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Jul 20 2019, 11:01 AM) i just think its a bad clip. i agree. very impractical this clip. i'd be careful with the magnetic tailcap too. you may need some effort to remove the light from its tailcap, but if it gets snagged to say a branch or something, you can pretty much kiss ur tip2 cos what if u knock the light attached to the cap...or worse a belt...say bye bye to the light |

Got myself a new torchlight? Well kinda.
![]() » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Was gonna mod it to use rechargeable lipo packs and candle flicker LED drivers Turns out the whole torch was glued shut and no other methods to disassemble this wonderful light. Guess I'll just stick to rechargeable AAA Maybe I'll make 2 dummy AAA and run 5v USB through it This post has been edited by power911: Aug 6 2019, 08:19 PM |

Finally able to get a classic Astrolux S41 Nichia 219c Never knew the nichias to be so cool tint. Most of my nichias were neutral or warm from 4000k down to 3500k This is probably my first up to 5000k tint nichia ![]() |

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Aug 15 2019, 01:17 PM) Ordered it together but apparently separate shipping. Still on its way.I tried lego fit on my convoy and run some unknown Skul vape 18650 and oh boy 14 amps is scary. It go from cool copper to nasty hot metal in 5 seconds I'll prolly downgrade it to a 8*AMC7135 biscotti driver if the direct drive is overkill. Doubt my unknown branded 18650 can handle continuous 14 amps without issue. Or opt for a Samsung 30Q if I needed it. |

QUOTE(Justin.Loong @ Aug 16 2019, 09:55 AM) Ordered it on Shopee. RM93 for the light itself and RM12 for body tube.Banggood used to be very cheap (I think about RM82 for both light and tube with BLF coupon code or astrolux code I forgot) I waited too long. Codes all gone so Banggood isn't as cheap as Shopee. Once I got the tube it'll definitely be my daily driver with pocket clip from now on. I can retire my Convoy S2+ 3x XPL HI. Never really fancy the metal tailcap. The rubber boot from Astrolux feels more professional than convoy metal or rubber boot. Did yours needed maintenance when you get it? I opened up mine and my LED board is confirmed flush on the pill so I can skip the maintenance there. But my shorty tube might need some sanding as the O-Ring didn't really seal properly. Water managed to go in through tailcap under brisk shower (Yes I brought my light with me to shower) But if the long tube is fine then I can skip the workout of sanding the tube This post has been edited by power911: Aug 16 2019, 11:25 AM |
