i think you dont have a clue how apple doesnt its operations, once a deal is made(DIGI & Maxis), then whatever the hell apple comes out will be avilable for them to sell, why would apple stall iphone models to us? it doesnt make sense, the 3GS made its way here by the end of July, weeks after it was announced, reason for the stall is because of those slowpokes in SIRIM.

since when SIRIM got anything to do with the delay?

one thing that i would like to ask, if anyone knows the answer

how about the micro-sim? iphone 4 support only micro sim which we all definitely need to change our sim card, and since maxis and digi will be officially bring it to our shore, how about the rest of the telco? im using celcom right now, does anybody did celcom have micro sim?

Only Celcom knows the answer. Most if not all the microsim in the market right now in Malaysia are used for data packages, bundled with USB modems. Once iPhone arrives, the two already supporting telco will have them in place. As for Celcom you can always mutilate it and use it in the iPhone. If you need to reuse it on another phone with normal sim slot, I can guarantee you that by the time that happens, the market will be flooded with microsim-to-normal-sim adapters that you can get for RM10.

This isnt an issue worth getting worried after IMO.

cutting the simcard and put it in an expensive much awaited iphone 4 is the last thing i would do sir... it's not the sim card im worrying about, it's the iphone itself.. whatmore to put a rm10 adapter into a rm3k phone..

and please keep it a healthy discussion, not mentioning whether it is worth or not; it's nothing wrong to ask something relevance in an appropriate thread.
