seems that there's gonna be a function where you can disable carrier data from within the OS itself

QUOTE(iori57 @ May 13 2010, 02:53 PM) Is it only me that OS4.0 ideas all come from what people are already doing with their jailbreaked phones? OS 4 multitasking is supposed to do a better job by allowing only essential services to run in the background. meaning it wont take must memory.-Multitask -change background image -can create folders to organize apps I believe these are the main highlights.. so boring.. all the JBers already doing this for quite some time liao >.< btw i wonder if the OS4.0 multitasking works the same like the JB ones.. I think the JB multitask works quite nicely d, can allow any program to run in background if you choose to.. i think the os4.0 only allow certain programs to run in background only is it? Right now backgrounder just keep the entire app running with all its services if I'm not mistaken. |

QUOTE(panasonic88 @ Jun 8 2010, 11:03 AM) The new technology Retina Display, claimed to be 326 pixels per inch. Apple slaps on a funky name like Retina Display to something as simple as higher resolution/ppi and we all go crazy. While 300 ppi is the limit of our retina, isn't that cool Its called brand marketing, and they sure do it well, lol. |

QUOTE(stringfellow @ Jun 8 2010, 07:42 PM) The keynote will come from Apple in the form of a video podcast. Subscribe to it on iTunes for free and it'll download itself automatically when Apple post it online. thank you.but i was hoping there was a way to get it now instead of waiting for apple to post it as a podcast. where i am the streaming sux bad, but download speed is good |

funny how steve jobs thinks that the iPhone is the only phone in the entire world.
"Now, we have video calling!" (when other phones have been having it for ages.) |

didn't apple already announce the tentative release dates acording to countries?
Malaysia was not listed in the june and july releases, so it has to be in the September countries. This is assuming there are no stock shortages(like with the iPad). We just have to wait. |

QUOTE(Shoki @ Jun 17 2010, 03:47 PM) IMHO, I will wait for Maxis/Digi. Warranty is very important(at least for me). I second this. I know people who bought their 3GS with no local warranty from sg.wang/lowyat/sg/us..etc.I'm not too sure about the current market but do make sure you do a research on the seller's background even before paying deposit. A couple of months in, they had problems with the phone and could not do anything with it. I'll advice those of you that can wait to wait, dont rush into the iPhone 4 Hype just yet. Let our local providers come out with their own UNLOCKED sets. |
