i've been using usb cable to connect my cam ever since i got tired of crappy read speed by cap ayam card reader tongue.gif
though not faster than branded card readers, but still faster than cap ayam 1 by a lot
wat i like best is when connect thru cam, windows 7 detects wat cam issit connected n gives all info u nid thumbup.gif
gives battery level %, provide link to guides n tutorial for D5000, provide link to Nikon products, even link to Nikon Picturetown
kinda sophisticated n cool biggrin.gif

When your mini-USB port doesn't work you can always unplug the SD card. If you unplug the SD card every day, what happens if your SD card slot breaks first, it either can't read the card or something else?

That's why I use the mini-USB port, the SD card is backup if the USB port rosak eventually. No problems after 1.5 years.

hey guys.......

gettin a little interested in the world of DSLR now ...smile.gif

Have narrowed down to either Nikon D5000 or Canon 500D but inclining more towards the Nikon.

Can someone suggest the best possible price for the D5000 with proly a single 18-55 or 18-55 and 55-200 . And where pls ?

Also is it really worth to just stretch it a bit and get the Nikon D90, I can see most of the features are pretty similar.

cheers fellas........
