QUOTE(celciuz @ Apr 19 2010, 12:54 PM) Definitely, fungus can grow at those dark areas especially. Our humid weather is just perfect for them. I wanted to buy this used lens which looks veri new, but the owner says he seldom use it n kept it in lens pouch in the drawer when not using it, age is 2 years, so I really afraid there is fungus growing in it even I cant see it with naked eye >.< please advise, price is really attractive to me after nego.http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...0&hl=WTS+55-200 |

QUOTE(maxh3h3 @ Apr 19 2010, 03:57 PM) take your 18-55 kit len and try , I don really understand how to pull the appeture blade wide open, I thought the blade is sealed inside the lens? anyway I will try it after I'm back home later.... thanks alot for ur direction Max =)the back of the lens facing the bright sky , with 1 finger pulling the aperture blade wide open with this way u can see clearly on the conditions of the glass at the front. thats the way how i check the lens. i cant accept any finger print and scratch on the lens. A good user/seller should know how to keep their lens I always clean my stuff before i show it in cod. (there are once when a malay kid wanna borrow normal meal tissue paper to clean out the lens because i complain very dirty i was like ????? then i say i think we can forget it lar bro. |

QUOTE(celciuz @ Apr 20 2010, 01:12 PM) Staying by the seaside or something? Hmm, should be so easy to grow fungus unless you seldom use it and always kept in the bag. No.... n I'm using it quite often. or mayb I guess I've mistaken it for fungus, mayb it's dust? If the lens is clean, would it b spotless without a single dot even? bcoz even I've removed the uv filter, cleaned the lens thoroughly using lenspen and blower, looking through it under a bright light with the blades wide open, there is like a small dot wit small fur by the side, but it's really small, like 0.5mm dot. Any idea??This post has been edited by Kent3888: Apr 20 2010, 01:23 PM |

Hahaa... I try looking it again through the sunlight, could barely see the dot now, it should b some dust, coz ytd nite I used my table white lamp which is veri bright, so mayb the dust look veri obvious till it looks like fungus to me.... I dunno how the dust went into the middle of the lens so easily, mayb through the zoom gap I think.... >.< sad....

I'm aiming the Octopus 20L cost 280 in this forum, pls advise...As what i heard from people, brands doesnt matters All of em are made in taiwan anyway. Octopus selling at digital might be a very good choice for u . (lifetime warranty) The shop owner tell me if i take the drybox, he ll give me another rm100 discount. I was so tempted to buy for someone because i myself got dry box already. I walk out of the shop saying ''its okay'' Added on April 20, 2010, 3:01 pm u trying to ay that all your lens are secondhand ? |

I am using Di622..... sorry I'm new to flash =.=50mm + flash on some of the pictures. Not all. I use Demb Flash Diffuser, my flash compensation usually -1 to -2 lol. Yes it is minus. Just ask model for second shot, they don't mind one. Unless you shoot 10 shots all 10 fail then that one they sure get annoyed la hehe. |
