If you have D90 you will definitely have the 50mm 1.8, and you will be in dilemma whether to get 1.4 or not =D

Sensor I know is the same.... but is the processor exactly the same?

Different, but I suppose the noise reduction algorithm should be somewhat similar too. Don't tell me go edit just for another model? :S.

D5000 is newer than D90, so if sensor same, it's not surprised to see D5000's noise control to be slightly better since they might improve in the processor algorithm.

duh if you could just buy in shops. Online (except shashinki) mostly sells grey set or AP set, not local malaysia set. If any prob within warranty period u bring to nikon centre they wont entertain you, maybe need pay even though still under warranty. just my 2 cents

Anybody here experienced in shooting moon? I plan to get a nice clear image of the moon, cropping it out, since my range cant reach like those 500mm.... I heard the setting is 1/1000s F8 iso500, any better recommendation?

That's my first try anyways, and I forgot my friend played with my cam and I shot at f/2.8 dry.gif.

Anyways, best time to shoot is when it is about to rise. The moon would be closest to earth to get the biggest possible.

hey guys.......

gettin a little interested in the world of DSLR now ...smile.gif

Have narrowed down to either Nikon D5000  or Canon 500D but inclining more towards the Nikon.

Can someone suggest the best possible price for the D5000 with proly a single 18-55 or 18-55 and 55-200 . And where pls ?

Also is it really worth to just stretch it a bit and get the Nikon D90, I can see most of the features are pretty similar.

cheers fellas........

go d90 if u got budget for it...
