i wonder,
if streamyx really decrease the price after the complaint from us,
is it unfair for the subscribers that just sign a contact with them?

i just sign a new contract with TM from combo to blockbuster deals on last few weeks.

I phoned up this number 1300881222 and asked if my place has unifi, and they said no. They check their unifi website but they cannot find availability for my place.

But when i told them i found it on their site locator and it said it was available, they denied it. They also tried on their side but cannot find.

Wtf??? if i can find it, but tmnut staff cannot, is the staff incompetent or on purpose?

Should i call again or go to tmpoint myself to check ???  hmm.gif

ya,
i know,
that's y i said:
the only problem is: 60GB maximum download per month.

TM always wont bring benefit for us,
even we are their loyal customer,
or this is the style of service providers in malaysia?
*
not style of service providers but style of the only service provider in malaysia for nationwide home based internet. there are other providers that provide good value but limited to certain areas only and maybe they can't provide to other areas because you know why... doh.gif

I'm just pissed off that i could find my availability but they couldn't. I even have the green box outside my house for a few months already -.-;

If neither of us could find it i would have left it at that. But i found it, they didn't, and no further explanation why that is ;_;

tmnut just pisses me off all the time vmad.gif

we are talking about cap, in 1mb line u have no cap, if you uses 24/7 with 1mb line, u can download 324GB per month(if speed is 100%) and if using that 5mb line, and 100% speed, in 26.67 hours, you reached the cap.
*
Bandwidth isn't free. It was wrong for them to offer us 'unlimited' packages in the first place since obviously they couldn't cope with the demands. Capping was inevitable. Just need it to be fair. And IMO, they just need to lift the cap a bit more. 2/3/4GB a day.. that's crap. 5gb/day for the 5mbps package would have been far more reasonable, IMO.

I don't believe that you can upgrade to biz5 if you are using it from home.

Okay, what counts to the cap? P2P? Downloads? Streaming? Surfing?

Only the download is capped correct? So Upload is unlimited and not counted into the monthly bandwidth cap?

This was answered

If you break your cap, you get throttled to 1mbps (not too bad). If you want full speed, you can request and they charge you per GB.

IPTV is not included in the cap, its on its own separate line.
*
Thakns. How much would they charge per GB? Expensive I bet.

What happens if you go beyond the limit? Do they charge or limit your bandwidth?

I don't mind the price all that much but why not have a much bigger cap for downloaders?

Any downloads whether local or international will count.

IPTV does not count (correct me if i am wrong). Apparently if for example you subscribe for 10mb broadband, they give you an extra 8mb solely for iptv.

uploads do not count toward your quota either. So technically, if your just hosting stuff and people downloading from you, your upload is unlimited ( correct me if i am wrong)

hmm.gif

Anyway downloads....

1. web surfing
2. games
3. occasional linux distro download...*cough
4. background internet traffic ( your pc applications use some internet traffic, although very little )
5. windows updates
6. game or other software updates
7. utube streaming
8. torrenting ( only when you download. Seeding is upload so won't count toward quota *correct me if i am wrong )

even if it's cheap most people will tend to overspend and be shocked when the bill comes in. For TM this is easy money icon_idea.gif
