If we get throttled at 1MBPS, do we still get charged or everything after that is free?

I don't believe that you can upgrade to biz5 if you are using it from home.

The sales representative told me that the bandwidth will not be throttled once you go over your cap. Instead, you will be given bandwidth overage charges which means for every GB you go over your limit, you will have to pay an additional fee.

The actual overage charge rate is still unknown.

from my financial view:

Telekom's revenue last year was RM8.61 billion!!!!! whereby RM1.61 billion or 19% was from internet services. Their EBITDA was RM3.10 billion which translates to 36% EBITDA profit margin!!!

but to give malaysians AFFORDABLE broadband service... NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they rather keep the price high (and put a bandwidth cap on it) for more $$$$$$ (owh thanks monopoly and the govt.. not!!) damn greedy la these ppl

even if it's cheap most people will tend to overspend and be shocked when the bill comes in. For TM this is easy money  icon_idea.gif

If we need more, just call them up saying we need another 10gb, and they set it at that. Once reached, throttle the line.

Maxis was worse. They don't give you warnings. And they just charge and charge if you go over the monthly cap.

WTF!! i prefer the bandwith to be throttled after reaching monthly quota and have unlimited data usage rather than bandwith not throttled but charges for every extra gb we use that will be worst than a vampire sucking you dry.

no to mention the HSBB project initial funding are provided by gov and then handed monopoly to TM basically giving them free money to establish a new monopoly. doh.gif
