Even if get burn just wait to collect dividend to cover back paper losses... Yeah, REITS is supposedly safer compared to normal stocks. That's why my portfolio is mainly REITS! |

just sharing,
Yields from Malaysian REITs are expected to decrease in 2011 due to a surplus in supply of office buildings from new projects being completed. Choy Yue Kwong – president of the Association of Valuers, Property Managers, Estate Agents, and Property Consultants in the Private Sector, Malaysia – said that there will be very few premium ‘A’ grade buildings despite the surplus in office space. “Investment-grade buildings with premium values are the ones foreigners are looking for,” Choy said in an interview with Malaysian national news agency Bernama. He added that although there are many quality properties in Kuala Lumpur, most are not for sale. “Some of them are owned by banks and most of them do not have the incentives to sell. Choy said that while investment-grade properties are most sought-after, there is no need to buy expensive properties, or Grade A buildings, to get a reasonable yield of seven per cent. “For instance, you can buy a property in Cyberjaya and still get a reasonable yield. It is also important that buildings are rebranded to upmarket category,” he said. Choy said market rate of office space for premium Grade A office buildings in Kuala Lumpur is expected to be stable next year with the market rate of between RM5 (US$1.62) and RM7 (US$2.27) per sq ft. |

QUOTE(omgimnoob @ May 15 2011, 08:41 PM) Ooo...ok, ok.If the price really shoots up, we spread negative rumors about those 3 pulak... see if the price will come down or not for us to collect QUOTE(cwhong @ May 15 2011, 11:11 PM) same case.regret that i didn't fire my bullets when they're cheap during the 2008 crisis. back then, the yield was around the early teens. now, the price is not of my liking already still waiting for another crisis to hit reit |
