Oooo... V7! OK, so this is what I've been getting for the past week. Area: Taman Tun IP: 118.x, 60.53.x, 60.54.x  It's so bad. I can't play WoW and using Gamepath doesn't help either.  |

Guys, i noticed my line is messed up, down / up is 2045/511 , i thought it was suppose to be 2048 / 512 ?. it keeps changing randomly everytime with small increments or vice versa..
I'm having minimal packet loss with major lag issues , 400ms~1400ms to yahoo.com ...
I also noticed the IP address no longer has 124.xx / 60.xx / .. instead its stuck at 115.xx all the time!

Last 3 months high ping + high packet loss..Now higher ping+higher packet loss+spiking ping..ping 300 also spike to 500..wtf wtf!! they also capped me to 506kbps up and 938kbps down..1mb package should be 1024/512..Youtube buffer..online games unplayable..websites blocked, slow and timeout...Download speed fluctuating..Line attenuation also high like i live in the jungle..Motherf***er!!

this month the speed downgraded from 910 kbps to 45-0 kbps !!! paying for such money but getting lousy service ! I cant watch youtube , it takes 15 mins buffering to watch 3 minutes clips , WTF ??! sometime disconnect suddenly and need to wait 30 mins to get the service back on ...
does calling to tmnet can fix this problem ? I'm feeling I'm gonna burst.

using streamyx to watch youtube is really a pain.. even a 3minute clip takes 20minutes to load.. sometimes even longer..
so nowadays if i want to watch youtube, i connect my phone to my laptop and use the DiGi 3G from my phone to watch.. It loads wayyyyy faster than streamyx.. no worries cause I have the unlimited 3G plan with DiGi

Anybody facing extreme screamyx slowdowns from Wangsa maju/Setapak/taman Melati/ukay perdana Area? This few days since Wednesday the internet has been super shitty, slow like hell, yesterday was totally down. Call 100? i call 100 till wan vomit blood d, they n their troubleshoot, stupid n bodoh, doesnt fix anything at all...reset port still same...WHEN IS THIS TORMENT GONNA END????? and when they write report, hallf way hang up....i dunno hang up or putus, but when i call back they said report not written.... |

1mbps user reporting from Taman Tun, KL. Speed has been very teruk for the past two weeks. Connection Speed went down by more than 50% at 0.66mbps now. Normal surfing is slow. Cannot stream even a simple video clip. Screamyx is really good for nothing. Can't place high hopes in HSBB judging from their inability to handle our basic internet requirements. -end- |

I notice the same pattern too.. after midnight getting normal max speed of 220KBps (2mbps line) but during the day, esp 8am til midnight, the speed appears to be capped or limited to 50 - 80KBps max.
This seems to be happening to International Downloads only.. tried something from local akamai mirror and getting 180KBps which is good..
Link congestion again, due to share between Screamyx and HSBB customers? Is the QoS settings going to priotize HSBB packets 1st on same link and let Screamyx users scream?
I wonder... :|

HSBB, their business customers.. priority for them perhaps. Although in the case of HSBB one would hope that it would be a temporary measure till they get their line upgrade done properly. Something wrong with my connection during certain hour of the day. it starts at evening until near midnight. i notice this problem since last week or two ago. but only just today, my suspicion arose that streamyx is throttling my connection because i tested with local site its capped at about 50-60kbps and usual time is >100kbps.

1 question. if i try to ping from cmd to international sites such as www.google.com, is ping more than 200 normal?
i experienced super slow connection for the past 1 month plus, called them and even reported to skmm but till now not yet fixed. location is sibu sarawak.
that day the technician came and told me ping 200++ for international sites is normal. if that is ok then it is really weird cuz when my connection was good the ping was never more than 50. i told him that and he said it is impossible. i asked him to come again the next day so that i can show him cuz my connection is onli very fast for like a couple of hours in the morning and gets slow again in the afternoon all the way till night but the technician never show up. got so pissed already.

They got new " skill " now , last time when i complaint to MCMC regarding slow connection together with speedtest . Now ur speedtest will show that ur speed is normal but the lag is worst , youtube buffering forever , website cant load , dc and lag when gaming etc .... but nth u can do abt it cos the speedtest shows no prob at all .....
Sigh , their engineer shld be working on improving their infrastructure rather than exploiting the consumers more .

I can only download at around 70 kbps. But my normal download speed should be 175kbps.
And my torrenting speed is freaking slow too. It's like capped or something. It's using lots of bandwith but the speed is below 10. A few times it'll go beyond 10 and it will go down like it's disconnecting.

Streamyx speed has suffered the week before launching of unifi till now. WTF. I suspect Telekom has reserved the international bandwidth for Unifi. HSSB is all gimmick and bullshit

...keep getting DCed all night and even now the connection seems to be quite unstable, already call 100 and they will look into it... Last night was epic, check my downstream/upstream and guess what, Supposed to be like this : 1024/256 (1MB package on HomePrepaid) but~~~ Last night was like this : 192/118 ...and was just and ...call them ASAP and get the problem solved because i keep on mentioning the problem on and on... According to Zamzamzairani, among the good news for the non-executive staff in Sabah is, a salary adjusment with a one point rise,an increase in the housing allowance from RM90 to RM120 and additional medical benefits.
He also said the agreement mentions additional leave and the bonus of a 1.7 month salary being extended to the non-executive workers in Sabah.
He said 16,240 non-executive workers throughout the country will enjoy the bonus and 816 of them are working in Sabah.
Meanwhile, Zamzamzairani said TM plans to spend five per cent of its profit this year, compared to 3.6 per cent in 2009, to enhance the quality of its Streamyx internet service.
"Apart from appreciating our workers, it is also important for TM to improve the service to customers, as the company acts as a catalyst for the development of the country," he said.
He said the number of Streamyx customers throughout the country had now reached 1.5 million, both for business and personal use.

i knew youtube was throttled, but didnt expect them to throttle to ~150kbps...
i was curious why even 360p video loading so damn slow, then i turn on my router's network monitoring graph...it shows the traffic in is around 130kbps, and sometimes drop ti 80kbps, and spike to 300kbps...
then i try facebook video, instant 1.3Mbps...
so now we have to use VPN to get to youtube? stupid enough

I resort to using leechers for MU. if not, it's too darn slow.
How's about 40kB/s on a 1.5mbps connection? Quite unbearable.
But all is good. Just yesterday there's a massive slowdown. Now recovered.

1MBPS user been getting slow download speeds from 4shared and mediafire from 12pm to 12am. the speed was around 1kbps to 20kbps maxed, if not slow download speed, the download will just finish halfway. called screamyx CS and they say they cannot help it BTW im from cheras area |

When playing games on foreign server, ping latency 250 - 300++.
If using 2MB or 4MB, can guarantee lower ping?

I just upgrade from 512 to 1M. Morning is super fast but at night from 7pm to 12am, it is very slow. Total download speed is 11kbps. Guess tm ask me to shotdown my pc and sleep early.....

I wonder why your ping is so damn high 1000ms some more.
it should be less than 200ms..
But your download is not bad. Just that your upload is half of it's capacity.

This is mine by the way.  It's capped at 1.8Mbps (usually my torrents and direct downloads peaked at 235kB/s), which basically means I already get 80% of 2mbps for 1mbps package. Really, I hate Streamyx...... Now is somewhere after 12am and the speed I getting is 200kbps and open a Facebook game is within seconds. Before 12am, it get hang half way. So rm5 for the upgrade is worth something now.

We as a user also have load balancing to other ISP, they TM, the main ISP in malaysia, get get this kind of mess... what a shame, i think the whole tmnet network is down, either TM building kena hit by another 911, or cable kena stolen again.... really WTF!

Looked at a router earlier and saw BGP paths to TM were suppressed due to excessive flapping. Now that the fault is fixed (I think?), it's going to take awhile for routes to converge back to normal...
