The question was brought up because some players are more sensitive than others. Whereas I have heard Philips players can play all types of discs.

Forums are intended for discussions, is it not?

Does owing an expensive HT system gives you the right to judge?

P/S : i would like to check with the MOD but I assume yes, forums are meant for discussions but still jatuh muka if the discussions revolve around piracy affiliated topics. I just read in thestar papers today that M'sia may be out of USA's DVD piracy watch list but looks like we still a long long way to go lor.....

No, that's wrong information.

Pioneer only ceased its display division. They still enjoy a remarkable market for Car audio as well as home entertainment products.

The actual Kuro; namely KRP-500A and KRP-600A should be off the market by now due to the frenzy buying before CNY unless there are some dealers who are still holding some stocks.

KRP-500A in abt RM12K range while KRP-600A is at abt RM23K. IMHO, this is the best display panel in the market.

I'm comparing 508XG(RM9k) with Samsung LED TV 55B6000(RM10k). Any comment?

i've done that comparison before i bought the 508XG .. with the 40" B7000 ..

finally thought i try the plasma since i have a 42A77 sharp before ...

if u really can maybe go for the KRP once and for all is u choose plasma.

508XG and 428XG are Kuros. 8th generation Pioneer Plasmas, 1st generation 'kuro's. KRP500A is 9th generation, or some consider 9.5 generation Kuros ; they were the last Plasmas out, I believe they came out end of 2008 while the true 9th generation LX5090 ( for 50" ) came out in mid 2008.
