Banzai_san: The scene has a lot of white. When that happens the camera tries to save highlights by underexposing slightly. So when you see a white subject or white shirt, you'd have to remember to set your EV accordingly.

If you want for the camera to meter you well, wear black LOL.

cjlai: LoL nice catch!

lugiamcg: Most manufacturers consider 1:4x magnification on a zoom lens, enough to quantify it as macro. There are some primes that do more than 1:4x but less than 1:1x like the Sigma 20mm/24mm/28mm F1.8 trio.

kmarc : it depends on your shooting style.. if you go flashless.. 17-50.. or 85 1.4 because 50mm is too short.. (dreaming me)

as my shooting all need flashless... so i got in the wrong way already.. flash for AF assist only..

long time no see IeR...

albnok.. nice pics and nice TT.. drool.gif is it the diagonal fisheye become diagonal only because of the hood block the upper and lower part?

I know. Wanna try out with my f20 first before I get the f58 in the future.....

My current dilemma is whether I want to get a tamron 1750 or the f58. With the cord, I can get the tamron first.....  rclxms.gif

F58 still good pair with 18250 but if you more often for low light without carry bulky flashgun then Tammy 1750 may be you choice I guess biggrin.gif

kmarc, honestly, u gain more with 18250+F58, then with 18250+1750F2.8. anyway,... part of u will regret why didnt u grab the F58 when u uses 1750 noticing sometimes the Shutter Speed are still NOT fast enough... 1750 can anytime grab a 2nd hand one (so many everywhere) and use use, if dun like, can sell anytime...

the wired for offshoe flash, just for strobing... with F20 =.= no point ler... might as well post who from sibu, come out outing and test play the F58 or F42... save more time and money...

@kmarc go for F58, don't Tamron 1750.. you'll regret later smile.gif

my friends got a300 + Tammy 1750 + ISO400 (auto) and I got a550 + CZ1680 + ISO1600... most of the time for indoor shots, we will get same shutter speed smile.gif

If you get flash, you will have more toy to play for creativity smile.gif

err, according to ur explanation, 'macro mode' on dslrs still doesn't serve any purpose right? As in no change on the MFD...

if you buy pro FF camera... like I just check nikon at bts yesterday...

there is no such as macro mode.. panorama..scenery.. or sport on the dial at the top of the camera tongue.gif
which is why the option at the dial or only 4-5 only LOL...

those setting only effect in term of color , sharpness or contrast...

for macro purpose... its the glass aka lens that play important role tongue.gif

achew : I do have the program on my com. But no one ever teach me how to use it, and never really have the will to learn it myself. And I seldom edit my photos. So for normal editing I only use Picasa or Photoscape lo. ):
