Yeah happened to me this morning too. Decoder showing 701 yet it's showing Cartoon Network on my TV.

To dxjb,
Channel number glitch happened to me once too. So now I know I'm not alone. I fixed it by simply turn it off and back on again.

I think this problem is unique to byond box, due to its "dynamic new channel update" capability, hope this bug will be fixed in the next firmware update

where was this? Never read it in newspapers here..
the problem i had was not my fault..
i typed 615..the EPG said it was Disney but the content was the Indian in-house channel
As if Astro were playing around having fun putting Indian channel content in kids channel Disney
Then a few minutes later i check the channel was gone..like never existed
I think the clown at Astro had enough of the fun and was rebooting whatever they were messing around with
Another 2 minutes and normal again
I think they were having a laugh for fun
Luckily it was not Porno..

It was printed in the Star newspaper and I think it was last week. Just a very small column only at World News area.

It's not necessary to rain at your area for signal to be affected, it's line of sight. If at any place between your dish to satellite has a heavy rain (of course still below the clouds biggrin.gif ), your signal will be affected too.

TM Signs Agreements With 20 Content Providers For IPTV

KUALA LUMPUR, March 22 (Bernama) -- Telekom Malaysia Bhd has signed agreements with 20 content partners to provide a diverse mix of programming and content for its soon-to-be launched, Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service.

TM Executive Vice-President of Consumer, Jeremy Kung said the IPTV service is part of the company's triple-play offering, that serves as a value-added service for its High Speed Broadband (HSBB) customers.

"TM's IPTV service is Internet Protocol (IP)-based, where the content is delivered digitally through a high speed internet connection," Kung told reporters after a signing agreement with the 20 content providers, here Monday.

Among them are Arkib Negara, Bernama TV, BBC Worldwide, Star TV Group, Channel News Asia, Deutsche Welle, Travel Channel International and El-Kahfi Sdn Bhd.

The service is similar to cable TV but utilises a broadband connection instead of cable, for delivery of video services.

According to Kung, TM has at present signed on with more than 30 content providers, locally and internationally.

He said local broadcast channels that can be viewed via the service are RTM 1, RTM 2,Bernama TV, TV3, NTV7, 8TV, TV9 and Hikmah, while for international, it is BBC Knowledge, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies, Channel News Asia, DWTV Asia +, Travel Channel International, Star Chinese Movies 2, Star Chinese Channel, Channel [V] Taiwan, Euronews, FTV HD and LUXE.TV.

TM is also partnering with Hit Entertainment and major Hollywood studios like CBS, Disney-ABC International Television and Sony Pictures Television to bring IPTV viewers, the latest movies and TV series through video-on-demand (VOD).

In addition, he said TM will introduce exclusive interactive channels like Malaysian history, Malaysian football, tourism and games.

Kung said the IPTV service is available to all its HSBB and HSBC subscribers, who get to enjoy a trial period for IPTV channels and VOD, without any additional cost till June 2010.

Initially, the IPTV service will be offered within four HSBB coverage areas, Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Subang Jaya, Shah Alam and Bangsar and expanded to other areas soon.

In order to enjoy the service, users require a set-top box with a HSBB connection, to experience crystal clear high-definition TV programmes and also subscribe to the VOD for movies and TV series.

Damn, I just cancelled my HSBC credit card shakehead.gif

Astro, you disappoint me. You show endless flow of vapid mind-numbing useless ultraviolence like ultraman and digimon (small letters... that's my perception of those programs) instead of mind-expanding programming like Humf and Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies. Pull yourself together and start showing more meaningful programs... or face the consequences.

something weird just happened
I was watching disney channel
Suddenly around 1205 am the channel sdudenly was changed to one of Astro in-house Indian channel
The number on the the decoder was still ch615
I changed to another channel then again keyed in 615
It says disney bur the programme was still the Indian channel one
Then  i chnage again to another channel
5 minutes later i keyed in 615
Channel not available..!
What the heck..?
I checked the EPG TV Guide..and 615 was not in the list
I went into my room to get my phone to call Astro
Came back out..key in 615, suddenly back to normal..disney again..
I know Hong Kong are getting new disney channel
Thought astro were dropping the channel
If they drop it then I would have dropped the cartoon package straight away..
Disney and cartoon network are the only reason I give the kids the channel..

Weird Astro..someone playing around on a sunday night ar?
Dont drop channels..u should add them..

WOW !!!! This happened here as well !!!!
I remember few days back, I read a newspaper report said that while the children were watching their cable kids channel, suddenly, the channel become PORNO channel for 1 to 2 hours like that. The kids really enjoyed watching it. Of course, it is not here but I forgot where was it, in US or Canada?

US permits. Check out DirecTV and DishTV's TV Guide. You'll be laughing at all the double entendre titles on the channel guides.

Did you read their plans? HSBB will only be available in area with high GDP contribution. Not whole country will get it. That's already digging own grave there...

How does Bangsar contribute to GDP?
