sounded like either end of HDMI connector is not properly seated
re-insert HDMI sockets softly, if problem persist, call astro

I also got this problem, really afraid if astro decoder going dead..especially when weekend,
cause my tv only have astro, dont have normal antenna, so if astro dead, cant watch tv..

call astro directly to make your complaint, they will eventually release another firmware update

It's been a problem for byond since day one. My decoder behave like this since I got it.

something weird just happened
I was watching disney channel
Suddenly around 1205 am the channel sdudenly was changed to one of Astro in-house Indian channel
The number on the the decoder was still ch615
I changed to another channel then again keyed in 615
It says disney bur the programme was still the Indian channel one
Then i chnage again to another channel
5 minutes later i keyed in 615
Channel not available..!
What the heck..?
I checked the EPG TV Guide..and 615 was not in the list
I went into my room to get my phone to call Astro
Came back out..key in 615, suddenly back to normal..disney again..
I know Hong Kong are getting new disney channel
Thought astro were dropping the channel
If they drop it then I would have dropped the cartoon package straight away..
Disney and cartoon network are the only reason I give the kids the channel..

Weird Astro..someone playing around on a sunday night ar?
Dont drop channels..u should add them..

From what has been happening I won't be surprised to see Disney and Cartoon Network vanish from Astro and replaced with in-house nonsense.

How sure are you bro, Cartoon Network & Disney quite huge investment. If you are right after all, i'll probably reconsider Astro the following year..

just little info...last time, i watch trek selebriti at astro ria, they use HD makeup....is this mean that astro have the HD equiptment?

I'm not saying that it will happen in the future bro, I'm just saying that I won't be surprised if it happens.

My reason for not being surprised is this: Astro has dropped high profile channels from it's lineup before. Sumore Astro is not interested in bringing in Cartoon Network's sister channel Boomerang Asia (that's what the CS told me in my last call to them, it was among the list of channels I requested). And regarding that new Disney channel, there's no news of them being interested to bring it in either. And of course the BBC channels other than BBC World News. If they cannot bother to commit to have the full channel line-up, would they even bother to maintain current line-up?

Assto wl never take channels which wld not listen to them they want full control of the channels . Just wait n see u wl have more in house HD channels or upscaled to HD soon

I've used MioTV back in Singapore and hooked up my plasma & them kablam! ..Some of the channels have this grey/white thingy. The Cust Service guy said because not all support HD. Silly me

Channel number glitch happened to me once too. So now I know I'm not alone. I fixed it by simply turn it off and back on again.

We'll see how many subscribers they'll have then

Dxjb not the only one. I know I'll definitely be cancelling my Astro as well if they remove the channels.

WOW !!!! This happened here as well !!!!
I remember few days back, I read a newspaper report said that while the children were watching their cable kids channel, suddenly, the channel become PORNO channel for 1 to 2 hours like that. The kids really enjoyed watching it. Of course, it is not here but I forgot where was it, in US or Canada?

where was this? Never read it in newspapers here..
the problem i had was not my fault..
i typed 615..the EPG said it was Disney but the content was the Indian in-house channel
As if Astro were playing around having fun putting Indian channel content in kids channel Disney
Then a few minutes later i check the channel was gone..like never existed
I think the clown at Astro had enough of the fun and was rebooting whatever they were messing around with
Another 2 minutes and normal again
I think they were having a laugh for fun
Luckily it was not Porno..
