I find coffee helps - up to 7 a day last time  laugh.gif Drink until hands shivered. Dont drink hands also shivers.  blush.gif
Ok ok - studies have found that black coffee (no sugar, no milk) is a good anti-oxidant. Up to max of 3 cups a day have been proven (google the research) to help reduce Alzheimers from occurring in women. I dunno why women though - maybe that's their test field.

Node-link? Like a brain mapping thing? or a simple computer IF, THEN, ELSE style branching?

Ok ok back to PM & investments.
REITs' tax is 10% at the source (withholding tax), thus U get the net only. Good for folks with tax up to 20%+ tongue.gif
Dont just focus on the dividend payout - go to the REITs thread/topic, lots of postings there. If U can't find, then shoot your Q there. I think mods here will kick our butt if we keep talking about REITs here (PM thread/topic)

Wah, you overdosed yourself with caffein Bro biggrin.gif . U wont believe it when I say I've never drunk a full cup of coffee blush.gif hehe i just cant stand the bitterness.

Um yea brain mapping or perhaps more like a hierachy chart hehe...
ok no more unrelated topic nod.gif

What u mean by expectation?

Rite now 29 years... My initial investment probably start small RM5000, monthly invest RM500... probably hope to gain 100k in 10++years... possible or just wishful thinking? tongue.gif

This is what my agent advised me to do if thru direct debit

yeap why not, my calculator tells me even for a conservative bond fund, assuming 7% return, 0.25% service charge . @ 10years (initial 5000, monthly 500) , u would have accumulated around RM96,852

Probable, unless his "gain $100K" means net profit lar tongue.gif

If he really means net profit of $100K based on his numbers, still possible but highly improbable if no better entry plans than DCA and must have great exit plans - need damn good luck that there was a HUGE crash and for 9 years slowly going up, then spike up at the 10th year brows.gif

You might want to try Index Fund..
Since our index will be penetrating to new heights this year, KLCI projected to break 1600.

ur expectaton to get rm100k in 10++ yrs.
initial - rm5k
monthy - rm500

total investment = rm5k + (rm500 x 12 x 10yrs = rm60k) = rm65k.

shortfall 35k only, can get by compunding interest.

sure without any problem with compunding 8% - 12%, (average only)

calcalte ur self here. http://www.thecalculatorsite.com/finance/c...tor.php#results

yes, u can prceed with this plan. read the prospctus abt the funds before decide to invest. local funds gd enough.

monitor ur invstment time to time, and follow up with ur agent. AND Tke not invest unit trust with ur own risk.

best of luck.

Better if net profit... thumbup.gif

Btw, got a very noob question... how to understand / calculate the percentage annual return. I refer to the PM Quarterly / Monthly Fund Review which stated the % Annualised Returns (1yr, 3yr, 5yr & 10yr)...

suddenly feel that this thread become hot!
right now looking for opportunity to inject some while its red thumbup.gif

Just a quick question here, regarding PMO;
is there any fees incurred from PMOnline when we transfer online through PBebank.com itself ?
I understand if other MEPS FPX bank will charge RM2 (its RM2 right?) for any transfer to PM fund.

The guy over fund investment corner say reopen. sweat.gif

My biggest mistake last time is to lump sum quite a big amount into smallcap because limited chances to buy and it is the best fund available from PM (i did quite alot of research on it). After reaching -15%, switch half of the amount back to strategic bond fund. sweat.gif

Quite regret didnt follow senior's advice on "dont put all eggs in one basket".

Need someone to confirm whether smallcap got reopen tomorrow or not. If got, better do DCA and keep long term i guess.

Are you aware that you cannot switch PB funds into PM funds? Wah u got chance to invest in PBIBF? I too late cry.gif Sukuk and strategic bond might be the only good bonds fund left. How is your portfolio now? Currently 70% bond (PBFI, Strategic bond, ambond) 30% (smallcap).

EDited : My agent has confirmed that smallcap will reopen tomorrow.
