I've tried burning lithium and it's crazy. the burning force is very powerful. flames are so bright as if looking at the sun. collect some potassium and burn them on the speaker. watch it burn PS: if you can find thermite then it will be awesome too just use a propane blowtorch and burn it slowly but first burn the speaker by blasting it full volume first |

QUOTE(power911 @ May 2 2010, 01:45 AM) go to chemistry class and get some alkali metals Looks like someone don't pay attention in class. You need water, or at least water vapor, to ignite the alkali metal, you don't 'burn' it. If you asked me I would rather use Magnesiumlithium, sodium, potassium and if you're lucky rubidium and cesium place them on top of the speaker and burn it be careful tho. If you asked me I would rather use Magnesium Group 1 metals more reactive than Group 2. Lithium and sodium will burn instantly when water vapour in the air react with them. That's why all lab group 1 metal are stored in parafin oil. However, magnesium metal only rust when in contact in air. That's why in lab you usually use magnesium ribbon and have to scrap off the black stuff.Or you just put it under your car tires and roll them over. Simple End of chem class |

Simple I've tried burning lithium alone with fire and it's highly reactive compared to dumping it in water. it burns very very bright flame that lights up the whole lab got scolded by teacher too burning it in water will result fizzing only and the flame keep extinguish there are may ways to make an element react anyway sonic gear speakers I'd plug it in a good amp and play it very loud till the speakers can't handle This post has been edited by power911: May 2 2010, 06:56 PM |

I'd check on latest Sonic Gear brochure and found out that EVO series no longer exist. Could it be their dirty little secret exposed?

Could it be their dirty little secret exposed? it's not a big deal for them. they would probably just take the drivers from the unsold EVO series, and use a cellotape to stick it to their new range of speakers, whatever that may be. whole new look, but with the same insides. anyway, i'm just wondering, did any of Sonic Gear owners here ever went to the distributor and say "boss, the tweeter in my satellite is not working la... can u check for me?" i really cant imagine what are they going to do to make a plastic tweeter work. |

Yesterday nite, go Lowyat to find some parts and saw this babe Sonic Gear Evo3 Platinum (MSRP RM119). Suddenly hand feel itchy, feel like want to dismantle sometime so decide to buy a unit.
This time they r smart, they glue the front plastic of the sat so user cannot open it. I manage to dismantle it but the sat gone, check the pic below How SG cut the cost this time 1. They remove the front wooden part of sat, So they got to glue the front plastic cover to hide the secret 2. The magnet at the back of the sat have been remove 3. The size of the sat smaller so they can use less Chipboard 4. The Evo3 Platinum sat is lighter than the Evo3, they use lower density chipboard for the sat. 5. The tweeter they use better quality than Evo3 6. Price higher but built quality lower, found out the dimension of the MDF slimmer than before. Will discover more when i free. My RM119 just fly away Attached thumbnail(s) |
