I got this thought after my 13 months old SG Evo3 spoilt.
I decided to dismantle it since it's not workingand no warranty. I discover some interesting stuff after i dismantle it and want to share with all the forumer.

SG Evo 3 spec - Sonic Gear Evo 3

For the spec, they claim that this speaker come with 2 x 1" Tweeter

Let me show u, how the tweeter like smile.gif

A tweeter without magnet , how it sound?????? I just realize, this is why i can't hear any sound fr the tweeter when i closed my ear to it. Damn..

if i am not mistaken.
that are infact drivers too
remember old timer ATARI game machine (tetris, Donkey Kong,) were using this kind of tranducer to produce some high pitch sound.
if i am not mistaken too. my Gshock watch actually uses same type of driver to produce the BEEP sound.

PS: i am not sure. because i though it was a buzzer. hm... high pitch buzzer?

EDIT : found the name of this kind of driver.
it's called Piezoelectric driver.

I never like any of those 'brand' speakers.. the reason why I bought BOSE instead..no offence guys but to me they just don't sound right.

I love pics of dismantled speakers
always wanted to see what's inside biggrin.gif

btw those are piezoelectric buzzers
those buzzers are tweeters that doesn't need a crossover to protect them.
can't wait to see other speakers dismantled

i oso keep thinking. if it is fake tweeter. why they so borther to solder cable on it. it waste 2 wire and worker time too.
could it be a peizo tweeter covered by plastic infront to mimic normal tweeter out look?
hm..
