btw those are piezoelectric buzzers
those buzzers are tweeters that doesn't need a crossover to protect them.
can't wait to see other speakers dismantled

that's because this type of tweeter needs a LOT of power to get as loud as a normal tweeter would need.
unless you are giving pure sine wave like most digital watches have in their beepers

trust me
they may sound nothing at all but they actually sounded extremely soft till it's inaudible anymore

more like very big

I almost got fooled by the awesomeness of the design of the sonic gear tatoo duo 3.

luckily I discovered better sounding products that have good sounding trebles instead of ear piercing ones (edifier wootz)

obviously you can't compare sonic gear and edifier

they used to use good quality parts

not sure if all sonic gear products are like this but I can say some of them like blue thunder series kinda good

Edifier I can say currently the best in Malaysia because of the product quality and sound quality
also we got Mr. Edifier and his crew to protect us if any products get sick or die tak pasal-pasal

hmm. the RM5 tweeter have a plastic case.
try removing it so that it is fair to compare with the sonic gear tweeter that doesn't have a plastic case

EDIT: is the RM5 tweeter a piezoelectric tweeter?
if not don't remove it lol

work
light
clever ideas on how to take photos
and skills to open it as it is very very tightly built
the wires are short because it's tucked neatly too well

take care with your sonic gear.
don't blast them too much
sonic gear build quality is mostly bad and may die very soon.

got wires connected to it?
if got then it's a working one even if you can't hear sound coming from it lol

go to chemistry class and get some alkali metals
lithium,sodium,potassium and if you're lucky rubidium and cesium

place them on top of the speaker and burn it
be careful tho. I've tried burning lithium and it's crazy. the burning force is very powerful. flames are so bright as if looking at the sun.

collect some potassium and burn them on the speaker.
watch it burn


PS: if you can find thermite then it will be awesome too
just use a propane blowtorch and burn it slowly

but first burn the speaker by blasting it full volume first
