If the Maxis price is true, by using today's currency conversion rate, the richer the country, the cheaper they get it smile.gif Or should I say the richer the country, the lesser their government tax. But I would buy in Malaysia just for the warranty.
iPhone 3GS 8GB
RM 1,633.66 - Hong Kong, HK$4,088
RM 1,736.49 - Singapore, S$748
RM 1,890.00 - Malaysia

iPhone 4 16GB
RM 1,993.32 - Hong Kong, HK$4988
RM 2,061.50 - Singapore, S$888
RM 2,290.00 - Malaysia

iPhone 4 32GB
RM 2,352.99 - Hong Kong, HK$5888
RM 2,432.91 - Singapore S$1048
RM 2,690.00 - Malaysia

Yup. 500MB = RM68

RM68 x 12 months = RM816

It's like a RM816 discount.

Hmm.. I don't know where this blogger's getting his information from but his information definitely doesn't coincide with mine. Ah well, let's see come the 23rd September who's right [him or me!]...

Psst: I think he's off by about RM200 tongue.gif

Added on September 17, 2010, 11:02 pm@idoblu,
That is assuming there's gonna be free 500MB. Also, this was applicable to Hotlink/prepaid users; of which I think won't be made available at launch time.

Can someone explain what the free 500mb is about?
i.e. iValue 100 has 500mb included... so additional free 500mb to 1gb?

Free 500MB is for prepaid users who buy outright, as for iPhone 3GS.
If you take iValue 100, you get 500MB data too, but that is in the package.

iValue 2 = 1GB
iValue 3 = 2GB
iValue 4 = 3GB

im thinking the same thing tink.... logically since iphone 3gs 8gb is selling around rm1,990 and iphone 3gs still selling around rm2,990, its just logic the price is the same as the last iphone 3gs. but dont mind me... im just being realistic here....

then you must also assume that postpaid will get their iphone cheaper than the speculated pricing

technically it is a "rumor".. but maxis didn't say it wasn't true.
just wait for the confirmation from Maxis.. at the meantime. will research on Maxis vs Digi service.

is better to see Malaysia Apple Online Store sell iphone 4 rather than Maxis sell to those only use their service

currently i m on Maxis unlimited data package + value plan, even if i buy outright using maxis prepaid, the prepaid + free 500mb data will become useless sad.gif

there is no Apple Store here in Malaysia, so we cant buy it outright from apple store. maxis and digi also selling it outright AFAIK( for prepaid plan). you can basically buy the iphone and sell the data plan into others who want 500MB simcard so they can use it in thier ipad or others device,

but, its just a matter of stock that they have it or not.
