Finally TM installer came and install the modem. Only got 1mbps coz my area dont support 2,4mbps coz too far.

When I ask how the speed for 1mbps? He said should be 70/80% but TM put my port high. biggrin.gif

He also said my netbook should come around 10 days, but usually less, around 3 days?

Lets wait for it next week biggrin.gif

How long you've been waiting since you applied? Are you applying New or upgrade from existing? Btw, where is your area?

Assuming you are applying TM Unipack 4mbps new account (not upgrading from previous streamyx account):

for 1st bill:
RM10 for duty stamp
RM50 for 1st month (50%)
RM100 for 2nd month (like a deposit)

2nd bill onwards:
RM100
If you apply new homeline:
1st bill:
RM10 for duty stamp
RM75 for homeline fee

2nd bill:
RM50 for 1st month (50%)
RM100 for 2nd month

3rd bill onwards:
RM100
Hope this helps you. TM don't put everything in 1st bill because this package is for student. They know student doesn't want to spend so much money in 1 shot. whistling.gif

How come when I ask at tmpoint, they said they charge rm 135 for new tm homeline and when I show her the brochure she replied "It's our procedure". Wut? rclxub.gif

For my case. On the 3rd of March, i took the application form from TM (Cyberjaya TM), then i went to my uni for the stamp, then back to TM. I apply new homeline and uni pack (1MB package). They only ask for my IC and student ID only, no need offer letter, and pay RM85. The next day morning TM stuff came my house to install the homeline and direct pay RM30 for the installation fee. Now wait for 3 days working hours, they will come to my house again to install streamyx.
Apply new homeline will be better and faster. My friend use his old homeline to apply, same day with me, but until now his application still on pending, this is wat he told me.

Took 7 Working Days to check if they can hook me with 4mbps since there is no port available at that time for my area. At the exact 7 days, TM call and said confirm the fiber wire cant reach my area so they hook me with 1mbps.

So its 7 days (to check and comfirming if I can get 4mbps), 1 day (the next day the installer came with modem)

Mine is new application but using old (my parents) homeline. Terminated since a year ago coz streamyx is SCREAMYX because of the so called underground cable sea problem.

Same as mine, today went to Muzium TM Point that located @ Jalan Raja Chulan, the staff checked for me and said my area is not supported for 4mbps, then no choice, straight away register a new TM HomeLine + Streamyx CoolUniPack 1mbps because I want to own the netbook, but today the staff requested me to pay RM85 on the spot, may I know what fee was that? I'm too rushed today, so forgot to ask. Can some one explain to me about my 1st bill and 2nd bill need to pay how much?

PS: I'm taking Streamyx 1mbps at my house since 3 years ago, and I can get 1.7mbps in speedtest.net and Tm Speedometer, so can I get back the same connection speed as my current 1mbps streamyx package?

Even 1mbps also no port? If yes then you might try 512kbps or 384kbps?
