Added on March 3, 2010, 7:47 pmI was trying to call TM customer service center for inquiring about this promotion, but the call keep waiting and I was listening to their own TM promotion for more than 5 minutes and still my call wasn't reach to any technical assistance yet, so end up the call straight away, and it was wasting my money to make this ^&$*^ call for just listening to ^&$*#^.

Can I straight away upgrade my current streamyx to CoolUni Pack 4mbps if the streamyx owner is not under my name? Yes I do know if according to TM law I have to terminate it before registering a new streamyx, but I heard some of the TM staff allow customer to straight away upgrade to this package eventhough the owner is not under my name. Is it possible?

The moment I chose the Technical Support it says that I need to key in my area code and service code? What was that? What should I key-in?

Actually how do I check whether my area is supported by 4mbps besides going to check it @ TM Point?

I just called TM Toll Free and 100 from my HomeLine, I've double checked with them, they say for those current streamyx account is not under the student name but their relative can still able to direct upgrade the current streamyx account to Cool UniPack without needed to terminate the current account and quarantine for 30 days. I've double called TM toll free for checking and 100 for checking this as well, and also I've email TM, and this was what I received,

So sad to hear about this, you means the TM toll free and 100 was giving me the fake promise? Do TM Point has their own contact number, so that I can straight away contact before I'm going for registering.

Basically yes, only for 1st and 2nd year with selected University can be applied.

I'm not really sure, but I think no, because when applying you have to attach a reference letter from your U to prove that you're currently in which level.

No free lunch, you wanna get something extra you've to pay something extra.

Under your name also have to terminate 1st?

Calling TM is like listening to local Radio with loud speaker turned on.

If someone calling for emergency, then he might be getting crazy while waiting.

How long you've been waiting since you applied? Are you applying New or upgrade from existing? Btw, where is your area?

Same as mine, today went to Muzium TM Point that located @ Jalan Raja Chulan, the staff checked for me and said my area is not supported for 4mbps, then no choice, straight away register a new TM HomeLine + Streamyx CoolUniPack 1mbps because I want to own the netbook, but today the staff requested me to pay RM85 on the spot, may I know what fee was that? I'm too rushed today, so forgot to ask. Can some one explain to me about my 1st bill and 2nd bill need to pay how much?

PS: I'm taking Streamyx 1mbps at my house since 3 years ago, and I can get 1.7mbps in speedtest.net and Tm Speedometer, so can I get back the same connection speed as my current 1mbps streamyx package?

Yeah, that's the only choice.

Even 1mbps also no port? If yes then you might try 512kbps or 384kbps?

So today I've paid RM85 in total, so what more should I pay for a new HomeLine + Cool UniPack besides the one I've paid today?

From what you've declared above, I still have one doubt here, if I already paid the RM85 during registration @ TM Point(Applying new homeLine and UniPack), should I pay the RM10 for duty stamp
RM75 for homeline fee again in the 1st bill?

1st bill RM150 for what? Do I need to pay for the installer when they come to my house install homeline and streamyx?

OK, mean now my upcoming bills only pay for monthly fee for Cool UniPack but no other extra charge? Workmanship pay on the spot to the TM staff when they come to my house setting up streamyx or phone line?

Btw, I'm only applied 1mbps which is RM80 per month, because my area doesn't support 4mbps
