Of course its worth it since its way cheaper than any normal streamyx package. But its for STUDENT only, as in STUDENT ONLY. Furthermore, its for "selected uni/college" only, what the heck? Unless they want to use it at their hostel (SURPRISE!! hostel owner say go to hell) then you cant use it. Plus for students, they prefer wireless broadband because they want to do their assignment outside of their hostel, pretty much anywhere but there.

Sure the free streamyx zone id is ok.. but I don't think anywhere beside fast food restaurant have them.. whats the point? Why not bundle it with celcom broadband like they did before?

homeline n streamyx is under my mom's name..
i couldnt terminate it n quarantine for 1 month since i hv thesis to rush in this sem
besides, this is my final sem in year2.
so, i must get this offer within these 8 weeks time><"

so, in conclusion
i can open another new homeline for 4M uni pack?
then i terminate the streamyx of the actual home line after i get successful of the 4M uni pack?
n every month, i only pay RM100 nett for this extra new homeline in total?
n this RM100 nett per month continuous 2 years? (in terms of never use the extra home line to call)

Yes correct, I went to TMpoint yesterday and apply new line, everything's cool.

Yes, by mistake I wrote 12 instead of 24. Nevertheless, it's a better deal than the ordinary packages but there isn't cash left for selling the netbook after the 2 year bill repayment.

Actually how do I check whether my area is supported by 4mbps besides going to check it @ TM Point?

u can call TM or when u apply, u can ask if ur place supported yet.

just got a call from TM, man they take their 7 days working days fully. took them 7 days working days to check if I can get the port available for 4mbps for my house but in the end still cant. so have to use 1 mbps first. and later upgrade it.

so now just waiting for the installer this week, and waiting for the netbook after that.

Assuming you are applying TM Unipack 4mbps new account (not upgrading from previous streamyx account):

for 1st bill:
RM10 for duty stamp
RM50 for 1st month (50%)
RM100 for 2nd month (like a deposit)

2nd bill onwards:
RM100


If you apply new homeline:
1st bill:
RM10 for duty stamp
RM75 for homeline fee

2nd bill:
RM50 for 1st month (50%)
RM100 for 2nd month

3rd bill onwards:
RM100


Hope this helps you. TM don't put everything in 1st bill because this package is for student. They know student doesn't want to spend so much money in 1 shot.

upgrade the acc to cool unipack doesnt have free wifi modem?

I just called TM Toll Free and 100 from my HomeLine, I've double checked with them, they say for those current streamyx account is not under the student name but their relative can still able to direct upgrade the current streamyx account to Cool UniPack without needed to terminate the current account and quarantine for 30 days. I've double called TM toll free for checking and 100 for checking this as well, and also I've email TM, and this was what I received,

1st bill:

the 4KM thingy RM20-RM30
wiring RM30-RM50 (pay to the contractor on the spot)

for coolUniPack 4Mbps:
Bill will only be mailed to you on 2nd month.

1st bill (2nd month)
RM50 1st month 50% subscription fees
RM100 2nd month

2nd bill (3rd month) onwards
RM100

these are the charges according to my streamyx bill.

I know about this. I instructed the tmpoint to do so. Sadly, I still went through 30 days quarantine. I'm not the only one who got this fake promise. My classmate had the same fate.

So sad to hear about this, you means the TM toll free and 100 was giving me the fake promise? Do TM Point has their own contact number, so that I can straight away contact before I'm going for registering.
