Ok just applied just now. damn many ppl want to apply. wait nearly 1 and half hour.
1st I check with them if there is a port for 4mbps in my area. TM said got but no port available. TM put me in the waiting list but.. In the meantime, TM put me in 1mbps but for 1mbps, ports are available but not in my distance and recieve error. (what?! then why all this years I can apply 1mbps? Owh. maybe this is the reason my 1mbps is slow?) So TM requested technician to repair the distance prob around this week. I also asked do I need to pay more when upgrade from 1mbps to 4mbps for Streamyx Cool Uni later? TM said NO, just pay like in the promotion. Then another thing, TM said it takes 2 weeks for the netbook to arrive coz want to verify with IPTA/IPTS (so what TM really means, 1 week to verify with IPT and 1 week for HP to send? |

QUOTE(sg999 @ Feb 23 2010, 07:59 PM) # 29. If I were to switch to HSBB service, what will happen to my contact obligation on Streamyx? yup. should can. but some other things will cancel like hypptunes downloads.* TM will waive any penalty imposed upon successful HSBB service activation. i think streamyx uni cool can upgrade to HSBB??? |

QUOTE(banks @ Feb 24 2010, 10:07 PM) currently I have an old account(Not under my name). I think urs like some ppl prob. Can I register for a new unipack account but leaving the phoneline and old account untouched? When the unipack account is approved then only I cancel the old account. If I cancel the old account after the unipack account is approved, will it affect my connectivity? The 1 month quarantine is for what actually? I don't want to create a new phone line leh... If Im not mistaken 1. Have to cancel old streamyx 2. Have to wait 1 month quarantine (got someone said can reduce the days) 3. Then can apply Streamyx Cool Uni or 1. Apply new homeline 2. Apply Streamyx Cool Uni and to TM Staffs, basically you all should know that, TM staffs also got free netbooks with their own promotion. |

QUOTE(reevephon @ Mar 4 2010, 10:11 AM) u can call TM or when u apply, u can ask if ur place supported yet.just got a call from TM, man they take their 7 days working days fully. took them 7 days working days to check if I can get the port available for 4mbps for my house but in the end still cant. so have to use 1 mbps first. and later upgrade it. so now just waiting for the installer this week, and waiting for the netbook after that. |

Finally TM installer came and install the modem. Only got 1mbps coz my area dont support 2,4mbps coz too far.
When I ask how the speed for 1mbps? He said should be 70/80% but TM put my port high. He also said my netbook should come around 10 days, but usually less, around 3 days? Lets wait for it next week |

QUOTE(reevephon @ Mar 5 2010, 10:31 AM) How long you've been waiting since you applied? Are you applying New or upgrade from existing? Btw, where is your area? Took 7 Working Days to check if they can hook me with 4mbps since there is no port available at that time for my area. At the exact 7 days, TM call and said confirm the fiber wire cant reach my area so they hook me with 1mbps.So its 7 days (to check and comfirming if I can get 4mbps), 1 day (the next day the installer came with modem) Mine is new application but using old (my parents) homeline. Terminated since a year ago coz streamyx is SCREAMYX because of the so called underground cable sea problem. QUOTE(TakanoKyohei @ Mar 5 2010, 11:11 AM) see. i told you they dont care if we final year student or not. just some of them will ask and ask for letter saying that we are 1st or 2nd year student. anyway good luck with your notebook. i already arrive mine. muahahaha..syukur. owh. and I also got my email and I wonder why I cant get through speedtest.net, TM block? QUOTE(reevephon @ Mar 9 2010, 09:06 AM) I did call TM, they said usually take 3 ~ 7 days to activate the Home Line, is it true? I'm going to call the technician who came to my house for installing the new Home Line yesterday, if my Home Line is still not able to make any call. call the installer. even installer we got warranty. call the guy and ask. |
