Yeah.

You have sellected that channels that are dolby 5.1 be sent down the digital audio cable and that is only going to your home theatre. Set the decoder to stereo if you want to hear those channels via your TV and the audio will be sent in stereo via the HDMI connection. HDMI does not send 5.1 audio, you can't get dolby by using HDMI.


It seems that most programmes on History and National Geo are real 5.1 but so far I've not noticed any on HBO. It is a programme by programme thing so even though a channel might be 5.1 the actual programme is where the audio comes from and if that isn't 5.1 then we won't get it. In this case the channels do a kind of stereo feed over 5.1 channels but it's not real "surround sound" as in 6 seperate channels of audio.

how long you guy take after call the astro for setup Byond?? i wait already for 2weeks after i call for thats stupid astro call centre, but now still haven get 1 reply yet.....

Home button -> Settings -> Installation Settings (default pin: 0000) -> Satellite Settings -> OK -> scroll down to 18 MEASAT 3A(VH) press OK -> confirm change choose YES

My cable already got connector between.

Decoder -- 20m new cable -- connector -- 10m old cable -- DISH..

I think can simply replace the connector with this inline amp..

TQ. But the surround effect (5.1) is very poor for all the HD channels i tried so far, even though the programs/shows claim to be DD5.1, that
include latest movies shown on HBO HD. If opt for stereo than u can set for pro-logic II, sounds better than 5.1. i don't know the problem with Astro
broadcast or decoder or my Pioneer AVR (which is unlikely)?

Good that you get yours as well. Bintulu as far as I know have 4 Astro installer and 2 of them with the surname Hii. So, not sure your installer is the one driving Hilux or the one driving old van.

Have you check if your outdoor unit was a darker colour than previous or it's the same old type?

My version. If I set Beyond to 5.1 my AVR switches off from Prologic DTS to Normal but when I do not set to 5.1 on beyand it reads Prologic DTS signal ! I wonder what explaination can u guys give .To me I wld say its a screwed compressed no standard HD box and service ! Until today I have yet to hear the so called and claimed to exsist cinematic xperience !:furious:

Prologic is not a true 5.1...do you know that? I'm not sure what is your AVR settings like but for me...

If I set Auto surround
If stereo: It'll be stereo
If DD 5.1: It'll show DD 5.1

If I set Dolby Cimena Surround
If Stereo: IT'll show as Dolby Prologic
If DD 5.1: It'll show as DD Prologic

Please set your AVR to auto surround or take the sounds directly without any processing. Then check from there if the audio signal coming from the coax is stereo of DD. Don;t use any sound processing to enhance the sound.

I did not notice his vehicle, but he came alone. No assistant. Astro gave wrong number to him, that's why he did not contact me yesterday. It was a correct dish, the darker ODU 65. He was a nice chap. Activated my account over speakerphone, so that I can listen to the IVR. About three minutes after the call ended, I can start viewing already.

The should be Mr. Hii that's driving the van. If you do notice he do the installation, then he should be using a satelite finder for his adjustment right? Mr. Hii that install Byond for me use the oldest Astro decoder to check the satelite signal. Good that you get the correct ODU 65 for your installation.
