Rm1400 now? <==lowest price?
*
Xbox 360 Asia Premium is selling for around RM 1400, but some shop sell as low as RM 1300. You have to go every shop and ask their best price.

If you want cheaper, you can buy Xbox 360 Japanese console, around RM 900 only. But the downside, you have to use stepdown-transformer which is bulky and inconvinient.

Stepdown transformer is around RM 100. Yes, Jap version can play Asia game. I suggest you read the Xbox 360 Buyer's Guide / FAQ for more info.

Playstation 3 Online to Have "Entitlements"

QUOTE
Somehow I'm not surprised. According to a post over on Evil Avatar, the latest EGM podcast says Sony will have an Achievement clone called "Entitlements" for the Playstation 3. Bit of a strange name in my opinion. I like the term "Achievements" because it describes awards you earn for doing things in the game. "Entitlements" somehow sounds like something you're, well, entitled to... perhaps even without having to play. Anyway, guess I was right on the prediction,...

Sony is copying everybody's idea, yet they are so arrogant. vmad.gif

For those who doesn't know, Achievement was one of Xbox 360's innovation.

another day, another story pop up for ps3:

Does the PS3 Have Enough Texture Memory to Render This Decapitation?
user posted image

The Darkness lead designer says the PS3 has less texture memory than the 360!
QUOTE
GI: What do you like about working on the PS3? How about the Xbox 360? Will there be any major differences between the two versions?

Högdahl: So far the two versions look pretty much the same - quite unsurprisingly, since we use the same shader source code and content for both platforms. They will be identical gameplay-wise. There will only be very minor cosmetic differences, such as the PS3 will have better quality video for the in-game TVs and on the Xbox 360 we have a bit more room for textures in memory.

The problem is, the X360 hatred ran wild from Wallguy up until E3 this year, every single complaint was blown up into tremendous proportions. SOny fans and many others ripped apart the dual sku, the 1.5 graphics. It was a field day.

Then SOny comes along and totally blows MS away in terms of dissapointement, I mean, they annihilated them, there is no contesting that SOny essentially ****ed their fanbase. It was as if Kutaragi told them to fight his battle for him, he gave them the ammo they needed, and now they are realizing they have been armed with blanks.

A lot of folk stuck their necks out calling the X360 a joke, and then Sony went and one upped them tenfold. IMO people feel betrayed and embarassed by Sony. No one is making Kutaragi photoshops anymore of his head on Conan the Destroyer's body. Kutaragi has humiliated them and they want blood.

Xbox Games Grew 77% Over System Life-Cycle, Suggests 360 DVDs Are (Mostly) Big Enough for Next-Generation

QUOTE
Much debate has gone into whether or not the DVD9 format is too small for next generation titles. Looking over the data, it's fairly evident that in fact DVD9 is not too small for next generation games as much as it was too big for the last generation's. Very few games on the original Xbox came close to pushing the limits of the DVD9 format, leaving plenty of room for growth for the Xbox 360.

Undoubtedly, games will grow. However, technology designed to keep them small and compact will grow as well. In many ways, the debate over Microsoft's handling of the DVD9 and HDDVD formats is simply a matter of a red herring. People see it and worry about it, but there is little data to suggest there will actually be a problem with it.

The PS3 will be able to store more data with their blu-ray discs, but that won't necessarily mean that they'll be any less limited in their creativity. It might simply give developers more room to be sloppy in their programing.

PS3 Game Takes 22 Gigs on Blu-ray Disc

QUOTE
Resistance: Fall of Man is one of the PS3's key launch titles

user posted image

The revelation comes from an article posted by MTV News, which details some brief statements from Insomniac Games' spokesperson Ryan Schneider. "We're going to fit more on a Blu-Ray disc than you could on an HD DVD," he told MTV.

The HD DVD and Blu-ray formats are competing disc technologies. HD DVD handles about 15 gigabytes; the Blu-ray can handle 25 gigabytes. In comparison, the biggest PC games top out at around 7 gigabytes -- less than a third the size of PS3 exclusive Resistance, estimated at 22 gigabyes.

The massive storage size for the final version of Resistance (which the article says are "thanks to high-res graphics and orchestral music") could serve as a potent response to concerns that Sony's Blu-ray format has no benefit for gamers. In contrast, the Xbox 360 can only hold up to 8 gigabytes per game disc.

Other key details from the article:

    * motion-sensing functions will allow you to rifle butt aliens by jabbing out one side of the PS3 controller
    * Sony claims that the online experience will exceed Xbox Live titles
    * 40-player online games, with some form of ranking system

I suppose I'll believe it when I see it. Sony's promises are at the moment...nebulous.

Sorry guy's as much asI love the x360 but the jap already shown that they are not supporting US based microsoft x360. And the japs known for thier 'gaming mad' way. They even have thier own video game exibit for god sakes. This I think will be the deciding factor. Jap games ROCKS (as well as thier anime). But I'm gonna buy X360&PS3 just in case. Nentendo sucks.. the controler sux too... Can any one imagine waving that thing for HOUR... very tiring..

Actually you only need to flick your wrist to play unless the game told you otherwise. Some of the games support normal controller as well (example: SSB: Brawl).

And it's Nintendo by the way tongue.gif

Another reason why PS3 will suck:

http://www.firingsquad.com/news/newsarticl...?searchid=12067

Looks like people who only have component input will not be able to play the games in Hi-res!! WTF. Even XBOX can do HDTV via component input, there's no reason the PS3 can't. Another way of SONY of screwing their longtime fans.

Thank you SONY. GoodBye SONY.
