can someone answer my  freaking simple questions.  mad.gif
One :When will forte 2.0 be delivered?  vmad.gif
Two : If there is to be a price hike ... will us unfortunate early bookers also get the slap? mad.gif  vmad.gif

Sorry for the faked outburst ... just my attention-seeking behaviour. Falsely hoping that The head of NAZA was reading and willing to answer.

QUOTE(Perryyip @ Jan 10 2010, 12:59 AM)
Zubin, Izputra n 2.0 buyers. If there is not mistaken, 2.0 is here arrived in Malaysia but limited units (around 200). Those who booked earlier b4 Jan 2010 will have chance to get it. Why SA saying price will increase 20k ? meaning wat i posted are 100% correct. I was saying due to price impact on local (proton) and import brand (honda etc), government will not release the 2.0 that arrived unless Naza-Kia willing to increase their price. So i do believe wat my branch manager told is true. The 1st batch 2.0 will be releasing to 1st batch customers as soon as they settle the price which will effect from 2010. I've booked it b4 2010, load approved n paid downpayment. Why 1 or 2 months ? why dont give them a chance ? good things always need waiting list, meaning alot people wants it ! am i right ? correct me if the above info is wrong. THanks
*
Preparing for the worse. I only booked RM1K with local dealer early Dis '09. No downpayment .. no loan approval. Don't think my name is even in the 'computer system' (if there is such an honest system to begin with). So if they hike the price another 20K for 2010.. i'm certain to get the new pricetag slap on my face. For 114K .. I'll reconsider the whole bunch of Pug308THP, Civic 1.8 .. and Chev Cruze 1.8 (better cabin i read). Or maybe just go back to Honda City 1.5 and save 4K instead.

Perryip .. are u trying to say that only 1st batch bookers get the RM93K price .?... after that ... all others just drool for the 2.0

i got a feeling, the trouble with the 2l is so deep, even naza does not know how to resolve it.........that's why the deafening official silence.......

and i got a feeling the gov may force naza to do what they had to do when they first launched the sephia/spectra......artificially increase the price so as not to cannabalise proton's sales.........

Guys,

A few things to clear up:-

1) a soft 'kok kok' sound during the first few minutes of starting the enigne & driving off.
2) a bit of burnt smell after driving for some time & then turning off the engine. Happened to my Myvi as well. Service center said it's due to the undercarriage coating on the Myvi.

So, are the above normal?
Thanks.

Did my tinting yesterday ... Wingard Royale security film for side and rear glasses and front is using Sun Barrier 70 so overall JPJ compliance icon_idea.gif ... I am happy with the colour of the film (it matches my Titanium Silver perfectly) and the workmanship (drive all the way back from Butterworth to Penang using the bridge with radio off and aircon one bar to see if there was any rattling sound as they removed the third break light panel and some small parts (windows rubber, tweeter and etc) during the installation) ... no rattling sound ... and just checked it thoroughly and no bubbles or any deffects on the films rclxm9.gif ... Performce of the tint on heat rejection? Cannot comment until i test it at work cos park under direct sunlight without any shade smile.gif

Here is the photo after tinting at the shop ... it took around 2.5 hrs and it was done in a aircon room biggrin.gif:

Attached Image

At home ... dont know why the photo shows a lot of reflection, in actual fact not much reflection or not that matellic type which i dont like smile.gif

Attached Image

Just now bumped into bbear at Tesco and he asked me to check if the rear mirror got blur or not cos using security film also (my friend did tell me that it will be slightly blur but since we dont look at the rear mirror for long period of time, shouldn't cause any dizziness or problem) and i would say not as clear as before tinting but no really blur or got any distortion. FYI, the rear mirror dim feature was working perfectly last night. Here is a photo:

Anyone interested, please PM me for the price ... asked my friend to give special price for all the members here, FB and Forte Malaysia and she agreed. Anyone from Penang want to have a look at the tint in action, PM me and we can meet up smile.gif

Spot the poison tongue.gif ... bought the ash tray from http://www.kspec.com/ (please prepare to be poisoned if you click on the link hehehe) and also added the non slip mat at the ipod/charger compartment (thanks for bbear's advice, i put a plastic below the non slip mat just in case it sticks on it and leaves marks later) and lastly the custom cut car mat biggrin.gif

Attached Image

Bought the door pockets from the same online shop (cheapest online) and sprayed it with matt black spray (the original colour was very bright silver that doesn't match the interior, unless u like blig blig colours tongue.gif )

As I have taken a few photos on spraying the door pockets, if anyone is interested, i will come up with the DIY instructions ... i thought it was easy, but a few things to take note as the pockets can easily fall and you need to use sandpaper (1200) to smoothen the defective paint.

Bro, no need to scout la ... we can meet up since we are staying quite near smile.gif

BTW, actually i find the door pockets very useful to put your hp or bluetooth headset or anything that can fit it (quite big actually) cos Forte has very few compartments (extra big and deep one would be the armrest and super small one on the right bottom of the driver side and the ipod conpartment is a bit too far and not that convenient for me).

As for the ash tray, purely siok only cos not really worth it and not deep enough as the bottom cannot touch the base of the cup holder and there is around 1CM gap. But it looks nice and matches the gear and hand break silver colour ... i use it as a rubbish bin tongue.gif

I saw my name been mentioned few times tongue.gif Fte, Just shares my previous mistake on the Non Slip rubber matt as it left the permanent stains / rubber residue on both my wife car and mine. So, just keep those away from heat ( my wife's car also has Tint but yet the matt sticks on dashboard. )

Bro yhlee,
If your car doesn't have the burnt smell, means you takda undercarriage coating. smile.gif
