btw, where's mois?
he said before the middle button of kinzu is harder to click, but to me it feels the same as DA or BSCE, ie. nothing hard at all. maybe if not sold yet, u should check your mouse with another and compare. |

cos only one i own has been 4H for awhile now.
mousepad also that time got icemat so not interested cos i didnt like how it felt. and never interested in SS mouses until the kinzu and xai was announced, u know la my preference for mouses. tho i think the xai is going to have a nice fight to drag me away from my BSCE, until razer releases an updated CH and now the 7G, seeing as its the only mechanical easily available here + has multimedia keys makes it more interesting...and its the multimedia keys which won it over the filco. also razerguy already said they wont be releasing a mechanical kb, so too bad for him anyway, screw the damn yanks running LFC !@$%!$!@^@#@!$ This post has been edited by Everdying: Nov 25 2009, 06:36 AM |

Who's with me lads? if want to compare to megalodon in 2.0 mode with music then i would say got good fight...tho the v2 50mm drivers can handle bass much better... of cos v2 without being tied down only to usb is good...and u can bundle the 7.1 card with it for a better gaming experience... |

before deciding a keyboard, im curious over 7G. does it uses the cherry MX switch? since it didnt mention anywhere. and does it support n-key recognition? means it recognise every key no matter how many is pressed together?

Hmm.. I just thought of this... About the 7G, i'm thinking... It's like putting a V12 engine inside a Kancil. You get god-like power and performance, but it doesn't shout about it. Minimalist, if i may put it that way. I wish they put backlights in it...
That said, i wonder why i don't see gaming keyboards having ergonomic form factor? A curved layout would be nice... |

Yeah, exactly! I had this kb before switching over to the Merc Stealth, and i loved it. Even without any armrest, it was a pleasant experience, both typing and gaming. Hi, recently I just got my keyboard (7G Steelseries) and mouse (Xai Steelseries). I would say it is the best gaming keyboard and mouse in the market rite now. The thing that amazed me is the mouse has build in LCD and 5 internal profiles that can switch to suit your personal setting with a click of a button. The mouse setting consist of Cpi , exactrate, exactaim, freemove, exactaccel and etc.. That can be change with the mouse software; once it has been saved it doesn’t need the software anymore. I play fps game in a competitive level, games such as Sudden Attack, Counter Strike, Counter Strike Source and Condition Zero. I attend many event and tournament before, the one lazy thing about it is each time I changed pc I need to set the mouse setting all over again, with the current mouse xai I don’t need to do it anymore because the setting it is already saved and all I need to do is just plug and play. For the keyboard it has 2 usb Jack (18K gold-plated connectors for extremely low latency) for it convenient that I can plug my mouse and headset into the usb without worrying about it latency rate. Ikari feels like a bloody toy when i took it out, copperhead has more density (mass to size ratio). And yeah, like what somiao said, its harder to lift initially due to its shape, but you'll get the hang of it unless you got stubby, small fingers. Its lack of weight is a plus for me actually, easier to push around and reposition. less strain on the wrist also.

I had no prob adapting to the ikari shape after getting so used to the boomslang as hand positioning is about the same...cept of cos with the obvious ring finger rest its more comfortable...
i put a grip on the right of my boomslang tho so my ring doesnt slip |

The overall look and feel of the mouse is kind of a 'back to basics' 'no bullshit' experience, no fancy lights, no unnecessary curves or pointless buttons. I would recommend it couple together with a cloth pad (QcK or whatever suites your fancy) because the 9HD that it was supposedly made for didn't really feel quite right for me. Unless something better comes out in the near future (which is quite unlikely), the Xai is really leaps and bounds ahead of any optical or laser mouse out there in the market right now. hey guys, i recently just got hold on a SteelSeries XAI. The XAI is almost driverless, u can change any settings on the mouse using the lcd screen on the mouse itself. The technology is topnotch, the shape resembles a Microsoft Intelli 1.1 and it fits both the right handed and left handed users. I've used a 3.0 and 1.1 in the past and i love the shape of the XAI. The size is just nice, it fits perfectly in my hand and it lets me feel the full control and grip i have on my crosshair in any FPS games. Moreover the surface of the mouse is made for better gripping. It feels abit rubbery like, not too smooth and not too rough, just perfect. The weight is about right, not too heavy and not too light, its perfect for sling shots or reflex shots. Everytime i flick the mouse i can get to where i want, that is how precise this mouse can get. All this thanks to the groundbreaking technology of the sensor, it processes up to 12,000 FPS at movement speeds of 150 inches per second. It is perfect for tracking.
Alot of people have problems with the sensor being too sensitive, for example when u lift ur mouse, the laser eye still tracks ur movements and therefore giving u unwanted movement. But for the XAI it has an automatic lift distance of only 1mm. The buttons are firm and the clicks are just perfect for tapping, it gives u this feeling that u can control how many bullets that u want to fire, like u are tapping the real trigger. Conclusion, the XAI is a near perfect mouse, for maximum performance it should be used on a 9HD, this pad is made alongside the XAI and Kinzu. Hey guys, got a question regarding compatibility!
I bought a 5Hv2 Mouz edition some time ago, but after using it I noticed that I had to REALLY crank up the volume on my Z-5500 (connected to X-Fi Fatal1ty) while gaming. Also, the mid sounds awfully sharp! Hence, would buying the Siberia USB soundcard fix this? And if so, would it be compatible with the 5Hv2? If not, I guess I have to purchase the 5Hv2+USB set. |

Hey Everdying, nice meeting you in the fair. Kinda sad that I didn't get to talk to you longer as I was rushing for a meeting. Hopefully we'll get to meet again some time soon
Inter Asia is so damn good, they've been improving all the time whenever I see them having a booth in PC FAIR since I worked for them on the first PC Fair this year. Sounds like Razer is going to be in big danger now if SteelSeries can come up with more A class quality medium range stuff. I wanna challenge those FMJ in CS! Uncle Edifier can offer Xai/5Hv2 for that?! |

then within that profile, can adjust any of the settings - exactsense, exactrate, exactaim, freemove, exactaccel.

well...from what i know...usb soundcard will be more prefer by laptop user as they cant put pci soundcard...
in ur case...u should can achieve the virtual surround with no problem since u have the soundcard on ur desktop... @everdying : to access the lcd screen...i think is need to press the button for roughly 5 sec, not as 2 sec as u mention before...=) This post has been edited by noobie1: Dec 5 2009, 03:03 PM |

imo getting the tactx / 5hv2 is kinda pointless if u dont get the usb version.
afterall, ppl buy 5hv2 more for its directional sound with usb card rather than actual sound quality for music etc. |

on topic: There seems to be a problem with the Kinzu. I've updated to the latest patch v1.0.10, firmware version 2.9.20 and using Windows 7. When I restart my PC the setting will go haywire and the sensitivity will go way up and I have to do the setting all over again. (Clicking apply etc) Any solution guys? h3llkeeps is l33t yo! my hero <3 <3 just got my siberia v2 recently, 1st game i tried was crysis warhead (usually for gfx benching larrr). i enable 8 channels (7.1) in my asus dx, works like a charm !!! audio position is very choon !!! it has alot better base & volume compare to v1, plus less cable tangles since mic & headphone all in 1 cable. ^_____^ |

for 1st i thought its weak..got pissed and pressed both speaker formly on my head then when my friend open fire,the speaker vibrate and produce a much better sounding (cuz its loose on my head wtf~!) ooops sory my bad i dint explain clearly when set on bass equalizer setting(on siberia usb 7.1) the volume quite high as im realy half deaf lolx not the headset vibrate the speaker inside vibrate quite strongly inside use the palm place on the black cover of the neckband maybe its because the eq setting sam goes with my piranha but nvr experience on my 1st gen siberia fullsize cuz the base is very damn hollow not my cup of tea This post has been edited by H3LLKEEPER: Dec 9 2009, 01:33 PM |

pretty sad about my 4hd cant work with mamba
not that it jiters or somewhat it gives me a 1 sec delay when i lift off the pad and put back again Qck Mass and Qck no problem zzz gonna sell it to poki later i need an advice change mouse or change pad? |

sell off he sure marah 1 + i like wireless functionality nvm ba i trade my 4hd for a SteelSeries QcK+ SK Gaming shud have bought that earlier lol 2 day pad not used to then sell off XD |

the problem is that the mamba gives 1 sec delay response in 4hd but no this problem on QcK Mass..
abit of jittery problem i can stand but the 1 sec delay realy sucks maybe hardpad isnt my thing, too smooth d I was thinking of getting 4hd or SK QcK in the end pick 4hd cuz wan kill the jitter now no jitter but delay!!? |

DAv2 on 4HD stops after i move like about 4-5 inch in a high speed low speed no problem mamba on 4hd delay a second when i lift off and pull it back maybe the 4HD is just too HD for those 2 mices to track on will try on kinzu today lolx |

Hi 3H user here. Got it for portability reason for my laptop.
Quite nice for a budget steel series, previously was using Altec Lansing headphones. Noticeable remarkable difference.  |

thats the problem 4-5 inches it just snaps sudden all no movement then when rest down and move again only can maybe the DA is ''heated up'' when i slide that fast in 4hd maybe this has something to do with frames per second? |

before i forgot...sometime...when i play fps game...somehow my mouse will scroll down when i dint touch the scroll button...anyone know why??

coz at 1st i tot it was actually either my software or the usb prob...so i tot can fix it...now everdying aso said he had the same prob...guess that is now the mouse problem...
