Hey guys, got a question regarding compatibility!

I bought a 5Hv2 Mouz edition some time ago, but after using it I noticed that I had to REALLY crank up the volume on my Z-5500 (connected to X-Fi Fatal1ty) while gaming. Also, the mid sounds awfully sharp!

Hence, would buying the Siberia USB soundcard fix this? And if so, would it be compatible with the 5Hv2? If not, I guess I have to purchase the 5Hv2+USB set.

are u sure the prob isnt the Z-5500? tried plugging the 5hv2 direct into the soundcard?

I don't think it's the speaker console dude, cuz plugging in a regular headphone worked fine.

I've not tried it, but if I were to directly plug into the soundcard, can I still achieve the "5.1" surround if I were to connect to the front speaker jack? There are 3 jacks btw on the soundcard- front (green), center (amber), rear (black).

sry should've been more specific. Was talking about achieving the "virtual" 5.1/7.1 on the headset like what the USB souncard would do smile.gif

plus the 5hv2 doesnt come with front/rear/etc jacks, just stereo and mic jacks as its essentially a stereo headset...so how u gonna get surround sound from a pci card?
unless ur pci card outputs everything into one single 3.5mm slot.

So... back to my original question sweat.gif

Is the Siberia usb soundcard compatible with the 5Hv2?

Yep, I'm using the 5Hv2 and she's got the Siberia v2. Sounds great out of the box.
