Hi people....

Just want to update you guys that I went to a shop to test the new Bravia s310A from sony which support 1080p input and scale it back to its native 1366x768 lcd panel.

The pic quality is great but you need to tweak it to desired result. Bluray pic quality is superb and game wise is also good but I can't say much as I only managed to tweak the image when the kedai is about to close...

I'm thinking of getting this one as cash price this kedai can offer me 2700. the kedai is at SS2 kelana jaya.

1080p and 720p diff??? cant say much either as don't have enough time to test...but from the short session..there's not that much diff...

Will update you guys once I decide to take the tv to my home.

p/s: posted this at PS3 thread..thought maybe better if I share with 360 guys too

samsung still rules...
its based on preferences...
so if i like samsung, doesnt mean you have to like samsung
and if u like sony doesnt mean i like sony...

best is go see all the tvs that u want to see
then u might be able to choose the tv u want.

Samsung and Sony use the same lcd panel, made by S-LCD Corp, a JV of the two companies. I have both Samsung and Sony and I'm satisfied with em nod.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

Great, at least someone do agree with me
Its all about satisfactory.
Only reason i got samsung, is because of the silky finishing.
And i got it at a much cheaper price compared to Sony.
So i have no regrets.

In regards to more option I'm not too sure as I see my Sony has more tweaking option than the Samsung I own.

I dont bother to tweak.
The samsung i have only for astro and xbox360
No tweaking rquired yet.

For astro, how bad u tweak also ppl are still fat.
Unless Astro update their services to be HD Compatible.

With XBOX 360 = everything is cool.
Most likely tweak when have the HD-DVD Drive

That's where you are wrong. You need to tweak your tv to make astro look a little bit better. As for the people looking fat on Astro, u need to change your wide-screen setting. Different tv has different implementation. On Sharp's LCD u can use the panoramic wide, for Sony I use full-wide.
