1 thing that pissed me off is that CRV, Stream etc all has their knuckle coated from factory. Even their brake disc has been coated with rust free paint. shakehead.gif

those cars cost way lot more from our NHC mah! ppl easily pay 60k more at the cheapest CRV. our NHC not even 100k, ya but still i get your point and bit unfair for us. maybe they will quote us low end honda users.

I noticed some rusty nuts and probably few arms in my NHC as well..

Anyway, being rusty is no big deal.
My good old wira battery retainer, the one which locks the battery in place, has been rusty since year 2000 and now it's already 2010 and the rust has not cause the piece of metal to break into 2 yet.
And it is so much thinner than the suspension arm in the NHC.

Since I'm not going to drive the NHC for as long as the Wira.. Lets hope it won't be break off until I sell off the car.

nod.gif u got my point there bro. And that part looks like a cast iron and this type of material is prone to surface rust if there is no coating.

QUOTE(kindaichi @ Apr 12 2010, 10:46 AM)
exactly, if the car was lost, u only get back rm81k at MOST.... at least rm9k + personal belonging, accessories are lost as well. that's why i want to install the connex satellite tracking, at least feel safer, even car really lost and cannot recover, can claim up to rm10k from them + additional rm5k for bill incurred due to the lost...  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

yeap. u r rite. getting claims from connex is also a form to minimize your if touch wood so bad luck. But the initial investment is a turn off. tongue.gif i alos can't invest that much blush.gif

anyway if u r looking at a little power then get the vtec version and if u want fuel saving all the way, idsi will be the better choice. happy buying

From FB 2009 Honda City,

Dear owners, thank you for your cooperation while we rectify your concerns about rust. Rest assured that based on HMSB's investigation, the rust appearance is normal & will not damage the vehicle. However, to those who’re still concerned, HMSB will provide a free coating. All service centres have been informed of this matter. Please email us at cityowners.details@gmail.com for us to follow up with you further. TQ.

With connex, are they able to know that your car is towed and not driven by you? Wondering if you leave your car for few hours and it's towed but you only go back to your much later which is too late.. It may already be on the way to some other country or in pieces biggrin.gif

Get a camera with bright flash, go to the front wheel. Placed your camera at the 12 o'clock position of the inner of your wheel, faced it down and take a picture. Then look at the picture to see if there is any rusty part. biggrin.gif

Safe for the time being. It's a piece of iron as big as a baby's hand. No matter how rusty it is, it takes time to corrode to break into pieces (if it has to)

on website

stated this...

How does Connex protect my vehicle?

Connex allows you to stay connected and well informed on anything that occurs to your vehicle. Connex sends you an alert through the media of your choice in the event of any intrusion into your vehicle, so that you may act appropriately. In the event that there is sabotage to your vehicle (e.g. vehicle battery tamper), a sabotage alert will be sent to you and to our Control Room, who will then assume control of the vehicle and act accordingly as the situation demands. In the event of a car-jacking, please do not confront the car-jackers for your own safety. When your vehicle has been driven away, contact the Control Room and report the incident. The Connex team will then proceed to track and recover your stolen vehicle.
