yeah interesting rite? with the cheap price too.
well i dont think honda SC do any better too cz u would expect the same ans " is like that/normal"  from them
*
i second your opinion with our SC. nothing fantastic also.

QUOTE(seancorr @ Dec 6 2009, 07:08 PM)
Yea u can go to any supermarket n get Turtle Wax Scratch Remover or any other branded ones and it will do the job.

I doubt our Cities have the ASL (Auto-Speed Sound Levelizer), which detects and compensates for changes in external noise levels, adjusting volume and tone controls automatically based on the car's speed? The Vios has it though.
*
The ASL thingy our city also have it what. But it's not noticeable when it function. biggrin.gif

Not suprising. Recently I went for my fren's wedding and his low profile company's director is happily admiring my NHC and another fren's latest accord. He himself say that wen u own luxury car then you would admire those small little cars and the other way round.LOL. He happily sharing/bragging about all his cars and how he reach places in ridiculuos time.

I think the OEM 16" HONDA CITY rim can support maximum 195mm width tyres only right? (Assuming we want wider tyres from the original 185mm)
*
there is a member in HC3 that fitted 205 in the standard 16" rim and it looks ok still. I've not seen it myself but the comment from others that have seen it.

To the answer to your question smile.gif

# Small Family Cars
1st Place:        Toyota Vios 'J'        6.1 (liter/100km)
2nd Place:        Proton Persona        6.75 (liter/100km)
3rd Place:        Honda City        6.8 (liter/100km)

New Vios FC and pickup better than NHC tongue.gif
*
why say new Vios FC better than NHC ler? I think it's very very subjective and it depends alot on the way it's driven. My fren's vios and my NHC got the same consumption in one of our road trip. smile.gif

Sorry for late reply due to holiday.. hehehe!

I see your 20k services is not so normal there lah...

Honda ATF should be 4 bottle.... it is for gear if not misstaken. and for you Dust an Pollen Filter.. it should be services on 30k lah. If 30k there still changed it.. u need to mention to honda u have changed that. cause i believe all honda services center only changed that on 30k services. if they changed early should let u know they will changed 1st for u.

thats y ur service will be RM500+ if tolak dust and pollen filter should be just 300+ only
*
it's changed during the 20k service, urs is recomended at 30k because u've just got urs changed at 10k service already. my recommendation is. if there is no smell in the air cond, then save the money. dun change it better. so expensive.. biggrin.gif

QUOTE(wtfoo1 @ Dec 31 2009, 01:41 AM)
Yeap, agreed llumar is bit on pricey range, but, seriously (err....i dont sound like I like llumar salesman rite?), u really pay for the quality, or perhaps I yet to find another cheaper brand with these quality...and I happy with it (that's why I keep justifying to myself, aiyo....what 2k compare to 90k....diff maybe eat more often bread lor.... cry.gif ) Yeap, I dont mind SC install autolock and alarm buzzer, problem is last time when I ask my SA, she said dont have such service, dunno she bluff or not ler, will ask again when service 1k that time. Oso, I read that some SC do have such service, but, so far, yet to find any at KL/ PJ. Anyone can help?  notworthy.gif

Ok lah, RM300 to buy for peace of mind. Perhaps u need to scrutinise lor, touch wood, what is covered, what is not covered, ie if u only suffer temporarly set back, not permanent, still need to pay instalment? Or only permanent covered? Loan agreement? Actually I would say nothing much lar...pretty standard, if in doubt, read everything, even fine print, clarify till end, only sign if u really satisfied  shocking.gif

Oh...i see, then, most likely will be end of Jan kua, but, try to pressure ur SA oso ler, coz CNY coming, sure lots of ppl want car, touch wood, worried they just pass ur car to others who give undertable money...

Just to further add, the insurance quoted is not including windscreen. So, depending how much you want to insure ur windscreen, be prepared to fork additional $$$ cry.gif if u want to insure windscreen too.

In addition, u can add in 1 driver in the insurance policy, FOC. Any additional driver, u need to pay (sorry, cannot remember how much). This, say, touchwood, someone drive ur car (non onwer) and accident, if his/ her name not in the insurance, u cannot claim insurance, coz he/ she is not authorised driver.
*
u can stil claim, but u will have to pay a fee called excess (i cant recall what it is). If the name is listed in the insurance as the authorised driver then, you can claim without much hassle. Each additional named driver is just rm10 saja.

hmm.gif Actually how long does it take to settle all the registration thgs? 2 days not enough? i heard my SA said wat need to register wat kastam thg?  rclxub.gif
Btw, u edi survey on the locktech lock? How much can get?
and how much for the Ecotint seamist 60 and raybarrier tint?  biggrin.gif
*
they will have to wait for a custom clearance form. Y custom when it is made locally? I got the same Q as well. But in fact they do have to wait for that because that form is needed to be attached together in order to register your car. Maybe you think my SA also BS me with this, but i get all the documents and register the car myself. So can confirm that I had that form. I made alot of noise because it takes so long to complete the whole process.

Number plate can be requested to change from your SA. Some special type need to add some money, about RM50, some they can free for you actually.
The number plate already charged into the car price already, amount is RM50. You can refer to their price list, got 1 specific row, no plate, RM50. So, unless u request for change, your SA should not charge u any extra.

BTW, wonder if we DIY ourselve outside, will cost how much leh?Cheaper or more expensive? Can deduct out RM50 somemore... brows.gif
*

[/quote]

U cant deduct that.I also ask the same Q to my SA b4 biggrin.gif. Can only add $ to upgrade

To me i found your SA like create many problems, those crystal or other text plate, should be FREE. only if you need to add the car plate panel then it will charge you the additional rm50, so far my SA is okey to do that for me and up to me to choose other type even singapore text.

Added on January 13, 2010, 6:36 pm

2.8% is lowest for now, i try to ask 2.8% also can't bcz the bank said my loan amount is too low
*
Not necessary, if only RM50 I don't think it's enough to pay for the fancy number plate cost. I make normal plate also cost me RM30 already. And better quality font can go up to RM100 or more. So it's fair for them to ask for top up $ if you were to change. Some SA may absorb it cos maybe they give you lousy discount. Give and take la.

QUOTE(skippro @ Jan 13 2010, 10:01 PM)
Is it normal for new city that comes with a number of scratches, not really visible to naked eye but like you know its there. can waxing fix them?

btw, about the continous red blinking light (security), can it be turned off?
*
All cars can come with scratches. It depend on the people that handles it. City is not anything from the prestige car category. Very unlikely dealers will hire profesionals to handle the cleaning/washing of the car before delivery.

QUOTE(gidlcin @ Jan 14 2010, 04:11 PM)
is N! aha.. thats why is cheap.

btw.. ijust call up my SA. cause my uncle r interested on the new city.. and she says. need to wait till april only got car n might be price increase..  sweat.gif  sweat.gif
besides.. i got my car discounted Rm1k.. and she say if wanna buy another 1.. no more 1k rebate d.. sweat.gif  sweat.gif
btw guys.. do u have a ny link to have a look on those body kit? cause im thinking of putting in body kit..
and tot of putting up the original city body kit that comes with modula.
*
You can check threads at www.hc3msia.com for some bodykit seller recommendation if you are looking at standard modulo. They are many satisfied user there. Most member are NHC owner.

I got lubang to make the car plate cheaper, know many this kind of accessories shop, normal plate 1 word RM1, , front blank plate rm1, back plate RM2 so if you have 4 numbers lets said WTL 9999, it will cost you RM17 for both front and back.

Crystal: RM5 per word, Singapore plate: RM120 for both front and end

Actually is depend on what you want to change and the quality is much similar so far i found, never found any special quality since all of them come from same supplier. But i know some shop they did really good job on this.
*
Sounds cheap, I'm not too sure about current price also. the last I make mine was RM 30 for 7 character front & back. That was for a better plastic material. I did before white font with what they claim mahjong tile material and that cost me around RM 100. But that looks really good and it don't change color unlike normal plastic that tends to turn yellow after some time or crack.

QUOTE(loneboy62 @ Jan 19 2010, 03:05 PM)
Dear brother,

I'm basically user of Llumar as well, I'm using Crystal 6 and also Diamond 6, no issue for this two and your price is super pricy, seriously, i got is much much cheaper than what you can get from the only one authorized dealer in malaysia(Unless you do in singapore).

Yes, it will be like mirror effect IF you windscreen is in GREEN COLOR, please study the spec before the comments. The reason is the reflection under green color is higher, so if your windscreen is in that color, it will be like a mirror and that look very nice for lighthen color. If you choose those darken color, suggest to have diamond 6 since diamond 6 with dark green. But unfortunately even it is fully JPJ compliant on the "paper", if you mirror is already UV protected, it will show more darkness to your car and then JPJ still will ask you to go for inspection if it is really needed because the front mirror cannot be over 55% darkness.

For smart tag is definitely can be passed through, because im currently using on it.

Not going to "flaming you", but if you are going to have better understanding, don't trust about those sales man, research yourself.
*
loneboy is correct. On paper everything is compliant to JPJ. But that for the film only. They did not consider the amount of darkness that your windscreen or glass already had. And you can fail JPJ anytime if you chose the darker color. I had it when I sold my old car. Part of the reason why I do not want to tint my car now. sad.gif

Got such thing as custom. They got some custom clearance thing. They will need to wait for a form from custom before they can proceeed with the registration. Even local assembled car as well. Maybe due to certain part is imported and import duty only paid when the car is sold?

Yah, um from across the border.  tongue.gif

Um actually very happy with the NHC, had a uphill run with a Audi A4 this morning, he suddenly surge up from behind and I just drop 2 gear and Vtec cuts in and left him behind for a short while before I turned off the road. heheheheh

Now I just want better rubber, since our original rims (which I also like the design) can't fit anything more than 195, I'm having problem looking for a good set of nice looking rims to match the car that has a good 7J or 7.5J width to fit 205 or 215 tyres.. um also concerned about the offset of the rims, dn't want the wheels to stick out too much and end up looking like a buggy.
*
Thailand? I thought the car is there longer than it is in Malaysia. But I cant help u much with rims as i'm stil sticking back to my stock rim and happy with it stil biggrin.gif
But manual City is interesting. haha

static charge? i think that basically that has nothing to do with the car but is just u urself only.
I had a few friends that will get this kind of shock when they approach metal thing which i don't get it if i touch the same thing at the same time.
