I try both before too for me z-5500D more potential than s730. Furthermore z-5500D got hidden volume boost. Remember setting at default could sound different with one thats already accidentally set?

sadly..i live at cyberjaya + i dn haf my own car..so can be reli troublesome to carry tose huge monsters in the train and taxi prices are like a ticking bomb in the wallet

Edifier S730,S530,S550 also have volume boost

basically on logitech or edifier,you turn the volume to the max... once max,continue turning then it'll jump to boost mode

s730 would be better if in your situation.
the harmon kardon soundsticks ii works best for computer usage

you can try AE Aego M,Logitech Z2300 or Logitech Z5500 if you can top up a bit more

For 2.0 speakers,perhaps could try Edifier R1600T for that budget,though not easy to find.
Otherwise get Creative T20 from garage sales.

my room is not that big i guess...s730 bass cant produce heart paint and mouse pointer shaking?



i tried z5500 and s730 quite a few times......based on my ears, s730 sounds more natural and the bass are more deep but for z5500, the bass are not that precise and for a long time used (listen to music eg) ,it start to become annoying...and the treble sounds quite fake or too sharp for my ears...for movies,z5500 will be the best but for music, s730 better...this is just my opinion..maybe im wrong...maybe the test speaker already rosak...

but honestly and sadly.....i dont have the chance to blast the display speaker till i feel heart pain & mouse pointer shaking since i just test it at the shops where there are 10 - 15 more speaker blast together.....
