Go for Public Bank debit cards to get higher rebate.
Maybank treat points is worthless.

PB debit card from TARC or UTAR is free for life. What if the debit card expire or over valid, is it still free for life?

how about alliance debit card can get 1% cashback, the drawback is rm12 per year annual fee, need to spend rm1200 a year to breakeven, if you spend much more than that in a year i think you can get this card

One of the worse in Malaysia. No cash back or point given when using their debit card. I had the e$aver debit MasterCard last time and it can't be used for online transaction too doh.gif

They didn't mention you must be a student or an alumnus of TARC/UTAR to get the cards. So, it means that once the debit card expires, they will send you a new card and previous T&C stand (unless they alter it).

The 1% cash back is good but the thing is that most debit card users are those who are underage or still ineligible for credit card. Despite the decent cash back, most adults who are eligible for credit card won't even bother use this card even if they have it. Another drawback is that none of Alliance Bank debit or prepaid cards can be used for online transaction. Something that is so important for the youngsters when it comes to choosing a debit or prepaid card.

Key term, had. I no longer bank with Standard Chartered now. The counter service is just too darn slow doh.gif The card design probably is the best amongst all debit card in the market though tongue.gif

go for pbb (public bank bhd). the best is pbb esso/mobil visa debit thumbup.gif

btw cimb do offer debit card, namely CIMB e.MasterCard
this card can use for online, but:
1. cant access via cimbclicks unless u already an existing CIMB Bank credit card member.
2. dont have any advantage (no cashback, no points) sweat.gif

more info about this card - http://www.cimbbank.com.my/index.php?ch=19...0&tpt=cimb_bank

usually 1 month before expiry date bank will send new card with new expiry year, and still, free for life.

better go for PB Esso/Mobil, also free for life.
the card give 0.5% unlimited cashback and 1% cashback at esso/mobil thumbup.gif

coz utar & tarc is points based, rm1 = 1 point, and valid for 3 years only.
and u need to spend rm25k to redeem rm50 shopping voucher! or at least, rm10k to get rm20 mcd voucher! sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif
source: http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/image...demption_ge.pdf

while for pb esso/mobil, spend rm25k u will already get back rm125, or rm50 for spending rm10k smile.gif

more info about pbb esso/mobil - http://www.pbebank.com/en/en_content/images/pds_esso_d.pdf
