Beside public bank visa electron card, can someone tell me what other debit card (from any bank) that is not linked to your bank account or the card account will be a separate account?

Hi I just got my Alliance Younique prepaid mastercard. It's my first prepaid card so I'm basically very noob in all this kind of card stuff.

Do you know where I can top up the card? Do I have to do it at an Alliance branch or what? O.O

I suspect very few cards fall into that category. Some banks, eg RHB don't even provide that option at all AFAIK.

I don't use PBVE much anymore, but I'm keeping it because of that feature, for internet purchases.

EON Bank has a few. Go to their website to check them out.

You can do this over the counter or at their cash deposit machine.

Yes. Most Ebay sellers accept payment through Paypal anyway.

So, for other cards which don't have that feature, the solution is only open another bank account for those cards while we use the basic ATM card for our main bank account?

I wanted to check my account (Public Bank Day2Day) at the ATM machine, so I key in my PIN number, select "Saving Account". Then while my card is being processed, it says "Transaction Cancelled" and my card automatically comes out. Anyone knows what could be the cause?

I haven't been using the ATM machine for a while (the last time I used it was a few months ago and it was working fine) so I'm scared that there is something wrong with my card

Yeah. I guess so.

Try it again, preferably at another ATM. If problem still persists, you might need to get a card replacement and it is going to cost you RM12.

Could the card really have been damaged? I didn't even bring it out of my house since i rarely use it, so it has been left in the same place for a few months.

I do not know. You'll have to try it again and if it is the same, then you have no choice but to change it.

Yes. You will only be considered as 18-year-old on your 18th birthday.

The officer who helped you to open the account and his/her supervisor are stupid. This isn't school. One can only be officially considered as xx years old when he/she has had his/her birthday. Therefore, the ATM is right.

Do anyone of you ever use a debit Mastercard / Visa to pay for super expensive amount? I mean at least thousand.

My college accept debit card. My mom going to use her own Visa debit card (RHB Bank) to pay for my school fees which cost RM6xxx at the counter in my college soon. Hopefullly, it will pass through.
