If you want to do online transaction, Alliance bank's debit card not recommended as it does not support online transaction.

KTAR debit card? Never hear it before. From which bank?

Anyone of you know of any debit visa/mastercard that can be applied online without going to any branches of issuer?

In such a busy environment, do you think I have time to go to bank?

If I apply PB Visa Electron online, can I use my scanner to scan my IC and the signed application form then submit through email?

I am not talking about activation. For activation, I need to receive my card first. What I ask in my previous post is about submitting the required document through email.

No one working at PB card services? Send them email ( custsvc@publicbank.com.my ) no reply. Call them ( 603-2176 8000 ) nobody answer.

MAS accept debit card. My mom use her PB Visa Electron card to book MAS ticket online. No problem at all.

But, you must make sure you register for "Verified By Visa".

Applied for "Verified By Visa"? If yes, then try call public bank to ask them. And, are you sure that the balance in your bank account enough to buy MAS ticket?

And, you should call public bank as soon as possible to see whether your card was charged or not.

Did you ask the bank why it was declined?

Tune card now charges monthly fee instead of annual fee for all new applicants starting 15 December. Anybody know how much is the fee?

Anybody applied for the new RHB Cash-Connect VISA debit card? How was it?

Have you applied for "Verified By Visa"?

Call RHB bank to ask.

You have to wait for the 4 DIGIT to appear in your statement. Even if you can view your card's statement online, it still need at least 2-3 days to be appeared in your online statement.

Added on January 29, 2010, 11:20 pmIn addition, if you don't have public bank account, but you do have account in other bank which provide Interbank GIRO transaction service, you can use the online banking of your bank to transfer the money into Public Bank Visa Electron card account. But, bear in mind that this will charge you RM2 and you need to allow at least 1 day for the amount to be debited to your card.

PB visa electron is not associated with any bank account. You just need to transfer the amount you need to spend into the card. For example, lets say you want to book air ticket which will cost you RM150 (just example), then instead of rush to the cash deposit machine to deposit RM150, you can use internet banking to transfer RM150 into your card.

But, remember, you must maintain minimum balance of RM25 in your card account. For example, you want to spend RM100, then your card account must have at least RM125. And, as I said before, transfer from other bank into your card need at least 1 day in advance, but transfer from public bank is instant.

Has anyone ever use Visa / MasterCard for reservation of rooms in a hotel which website FAQ clearly state that visa electron card is not accepted?

Public Bank's Visa Electron.

There are some ignorant merchants think debit visa / mastercard is only a bank card used for ATM. I encounter a Malaysian online shop that offer multiple payment methods, I asked on their facebook whether they accept debit visa / mastercard or not, they replied and tell me I can use my debit visa / mastercard by choosing the direct debit (means MEPS on their site) as payment option. Really....
