QUOTE(cshong @ Jan 7 2011, 05:56 PM) Do anyone of you ever use a debit Mastercard / Visa to pay for super expensive amount? I mean at least thousand. My college accept debit card. My mom going to use her own Visa debit card (RHB Bank) to pay for my school fees which cost RM6xxx at the counter in my college soon. Hopefullly, it will pass through. should be no prob, as long as the fund is enough

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Jan 6 2011, 11:35 PM) I do not know. You'll have to try it again and if it is the same, then you have no choice but to change it. Its not such a big deal if its the card that was damaged, but I'm afraid that there is some problem with my saving account. Are there any account problems that will cause the transaction to be automatically canceled while attempting to access the ATM? Will they suspend my account if I haven't been withdrawing money for a while?

Before you go pay your tuition fees, better you check your mum's debit card daily withdrawal limit. She can have RM1M in her account but if she had set the limit to RM5K per day, then she won't be able to settle your school fees of RM6K on that day with her debit card.

Its not considered a "withdrawal" and thus the account will still goes dormant?

I think you can call the helpline to request the pin, but if I am not mistaken, it will arrive on this week or next week.

Just wrote an article for my blog called Ringgit Wise Fool about iTunes Account for children and what Debit Card to use. Is it more like an article for parents wanting to get Apple iTouch/iPhone/iPad and signing up for iTunes Account for their child. In a nut shell - if you are 13 years and above with a MyKad, go get Public Bank Debit Card as it is the most convenient one to use for online transactions and easily sign up Pay Pal with it. You'll need your parent or guardian consent on the application form so drag them to Public Bank. if you are 13 and below ask your dad/mum go read my article below http://ringgitwisefool.blogspot.com/2011/0...ren-itunes.html
