Both are accepted at both www.amazon.com & www.amazon.co.uk.
Initial deposit for a regular Maybank savings account is RM250.
Just key in the name as registered with your bank.

is the CIMB e.MasterCard Debit Card and TuneMoney.com also accepted on amazon?

Hey. Got a probably more noob question here.

I'm turning 18,and I'm planning to apply for a debit card for online transactions and for emergency purposes. Is the default best option PBB Visa Electron is the best? Or is there other cards better for a new user like me?

If it's possible,can you list out the pro's and con's? Thanks. smile.gif
I'll be using it mostly on buying games,or booking movie,or in daily life as sometimes I run out of money.

Public Bank VISA Electron
- RM24/pa (can be waived, T&C apply)
- 0.5% cash back on all transactions except for petrol
- Have to fax or submit the application form through Public Bank branch

The other alternatives are :
- Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card
- Maybank VISA debit card

Overall, people who do not want to put their savings account at risk for using a debit card will usually opt for the Public Bank VISA Electron because people do not usually keep a lot of money inside this account and it is not linked to any of your savings or current account. In terms of rewards (for your case), Public Bank VISA Electron is the best as it gives 0.5% cash back follow by Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit at 0.3% cash back. Maybank VISA debit card has the lousiest rewards in all three cards mentioned.

The CIMB Bank e.MasterCard SecureCode which you will have to enroll via www.cimbbank.com.my is to protect your card from unauthorized online purchases. Just go to www.cimbbank.com.my and enroll for secure e-pay. It is a very easy process. Just follow the screen instructions and you'll complete the whole thing in no time.

By the way, one thing you should take note is that not all websites require you to key in the SecureCode password you created on www.cimbbank.com.my such as Amazon.com.
You do not have to apply for Paypal if you have no use for it.

You have to call the call centre to ask this. For Public Bank range of credit cards, this field is left blank.

I advise to check on where the card is or went. Normally you would receive the card first.

Last time GSC online booking engine did not accept debit card. They do however accept it for over the counter purchases. As for Air Asia, yes. They do accept Maybank VISA debit card.

No. You can pay for everything via M2U online. I did this before via PBeBank.com and Ambank.com.my before and just like you, i did buy meals and super-sized luggage along with my plane ticket and everything was paid through online direct debit without a fuss.
