Hey. Got a probably more noob question here. I'm turning 18,and I'm planning to apply for a debit card for online transactions and for emergency purposes. Is the default best option PBB Visa Electron is the best? Or is there other cards better for a new user like me? If it's possible, can you list out the pro's and con's? Thanks. I'll be using it mostly on buying games,or booking movie,or in daily life as sometimes I run out of money.

QUOTE(MilesAndMore @ Aug 18 2010, 10:44 PM) Public Bank VISA Electron- RM24/pa (can be waived, T&C apply)- 0.5% cash back on all transactions except for petrol - Have to fax or submit the application form through Public Bank branch [attachmentid=1734034] The other alternatives are : - Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit card- Maybank VISA debit cardOverall, people who do not want to put their savings account at risk for using a debit card will usually opt for the Public Bank VISA Electron because people do not usually keep a lot of money inside this account and it is not linked to any of your savings or current account. In terms of rewards (for your case), Public Bank VISA Electron is the best as it gives 0.5% cash back follow by Public Bank Day2Day VISA debit at 0.3% cash back. Maybank VISA debit card has the lousiest rewards in all three cards mentioned. Thanks a lot, dude. I'll keep that in mind. Taking the Visa Electron then.
