No noticable lag on my win6.5 here.

YAHHOO! finally upgraded

here a tips after so many frustrating hours.

before prepare to upgrade, make sure enough juice.

shut down the phone, boot up again, and DON'T touch anything, straight connect to computer.

begin updates, DON'T touch the phone until everything is done.

I like the interface, responsive but the composing sms part remains still the same.

i notice lag sometimes, it was not that obvious. but i do realize, new email notification doesn't work. when clicked, it did nothing.

been using winmo 6.5 for several days on spb shell 3.5. noticable lag during texting, as in the predictive input wasnt as responsive as previously. sometimes my finger types faster than the predictive output and i have to pause to let the system catch up, which is such a shame. other than that, no major difference or advantages upgrading to 6.5.

yeah... successful update my omnia..
last afternoon go to samsung SC penang to upgrades..
forgot to backup.. frustrated...
try at home.. with some worry
first try.. internet DC.. after waiting half an hour...
second try.. got it...
my comment on new OS...superb...
lagging on today is improve.. more sensitive.. and responsive

Does anybody experiencing any hang for IJ9?

on experience hang when i installed TF3D.. other than that everything works fine.

also, anybody can recommend alternative media player? the stock media player by samsung starts to lag badly especially when album art is added to the mp3s..

Don't know is DIGI or phone problem, keep fluctuating from GPRS to EDGE then to GPRS.

The hang starts when the line 1 symbol at the top dissapear.

ya, at the operator selection menu, i see all are singapore telco except mine (DIGI MAS).

does anybody here install skyscape application? i can not read the content of the application as the font and the background have the same color. don't know how to change it n i'm using SPB UI(don't know related or not)..

just called SSC, said upgrade is free within warranty period.
Theres one available at Times Square on working days from 9am to 7pm
He said the lowyat branch has been transferred to some other place.

Does anybody know how to turn off Samsung user interface , may be it frees up little more RAM?

After the update win mobile 6.5 , i am only have 28.25 MB free Ram , after all programs are closed??

Yep, anybody tested it yet? Does it have the end task 'X' problem?
From Modaco, somebody mentioned they only notice some improvements at viewing pictures in landscape mode.... Other than that, nothing.
Now using IJC. Until there is a huge improvement over IJC, then it'll be worthwhile to move to IK5.
Lazy to customise the setup again...

anyone updated at SSC yet?

does SSC upgrade with their official ROM lets say if we've already flashed with custom ROMS?

From what I've found out, the phone feels a bit faster. The sound is seriously louder, even though I set the system sound at 2 and Media Player sound at 5, my eardrums still hurt. I haven't tested WiFi @ GPS yet. I had 1 hang earlier, that was because Maxis was sending 3G settings to the phone and I answered a call and after the call, the phone hanged, for no reason. @_@ Other than that, everything else feels very smooth.

Edit: After fully installing every program that I use (Skype, Google Maps, Opera 10b1, SPB MS 3.5.1, S2U2), I have about 45MB RAM left.

Anyone who have upgrade to WM6.5 in Samsung Service Center (SSC), may I know what is the official WM6.5 PDA ROM version used by Malaysia SSC?

Is it the same as Singapore one? IJ9?

Soft reset and you are done!
