QUOTE(bluhound @ Sep 23 2009, 01:02 AM) OoOokkkk..... Didn't know there's a Brightstar around. I got a reply from brighstarcorp, Mr. Brandon.I think what ehsandy meant is the price difference. Also, I have been checking Brightstar and FMG. FMG is a multinational company headquartered at HK with other branches at USA, Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Philippines. Whereas Brightstar is a local Malaysian company. My mistake. Brightstar is also a multinational company. http://www.prnasia.com/pr/09/07/09466311-1.html 15 July 2009 Err...price difference... Introductory price, maybe? EDIT: Brightstar is HUGE. Bigger than FMG. HQ at USA with more than 40 branches around the world. Anyway, I came across this. The Omnia II is confirmed with the codename I8000. Look what I found at Brightstar's website... I8003 Samsung Jet widely known as S8000 shows as I8003 on their site. A variant or a typo? Just want to clarify that the OMNIA II for Malaysia is tagged as I8000. The product code maybe vary from Europe market whereby it tagged as I8003, but it is the same product. Thank you. Regards Brandon -------------------------------------- Do you notice the description written there is I8000 while the picture is I8003? This post has been edited by firef0x: Sep 23 2009, 09:46 AM |

QUOTE(lhongwuh @ Nov 16 2009, 11:21 PM) yes the screen will be on momentarily when new sms coming in..it will fade off in a while depends on your power settings i think. ya~ i never thought of it, i did experiment, i push the wake up button, keep on pressing the screen, touching, the screen will off after 30s nontheless, never thought the wake up button can be pressed so easily while in the pocket. nothg to do with capdase case.capdase case is tight..so when u place ur phone in ur pocket..ur cloth gesek the wake up button...sure the screen will turns on..it's on but locked, right? I bought the phone come with PDA: I8000XXIH3 CSC: I8000XSOIIH1 PHONE: I8000DXIH2 usually the firmware version is refer to which one? H1, H2 or H3? I still using the factory default UI, I found the lagginess is still acceptable. fyi, capdase case i use is a leather flip type. (magnet) Added on November 16, 2009, 11:35 pm QUOTE(SonicSpyro @ Nov 16 2009, 11:21 PM) Hmmm... Last night, I slept and the battery was 100% full. I woke up, 6 and a half hours later, the battery was down to 69%. The battery that was left lasted me from about 1030am (66%) until 10pm (0%) with a 10 mins of wifi, 1 hour of recording, about 50 sms, 20 mins of calls. What concerns me is that, the battery was still drained even though I didn't use the phone at all while I was sleeping. Your battery seems drain more when idle compare to when using it. Is there any 'optimal' setting for S2U2? EDIT: may be check the setting, is it the screen turn blank instead of turn off something like tat. YAHHOO! finally upgraded
here a tips after so many frustrating hours. before prepare to upgrade, make sure enough juice. shut down the phone, boot up again, and DON'T touch anything, straight connect to computer. begin updates, DON'T touch the phone until everything is done. I like the interface, responsive but the composing sms part remains still the same. |

when composing sms, turn to landscape, it doesn't autorotate.
Is it normal? I am using IJ9 firmware version. When I was on Winmo 6.1, SMS does auto rotate. |

QUOTE(faidz85 @ Feb 21 2010, 04:20 PM) Just got myself another casing for my Omnia II. Hi, where can I get this casing in KL? It was a bit overpriced but it is hard to find this type of case in Malaysia. http://www.vivacases.com/brand/samsung/omn...g-omnia-ii.html I'd say this is the best so far I've found for the phone. I've been looking into leather cases including Melcko. Though its leather is very good, the phone will be bulky. This case(Viva) really have everything I would want for a case. If you guys read my previous post about my cases collection, you will know about the hard case I loved before I found this one. The case is less bulkier than other leather case. Have textured carbon fiber look. Red coloured inside, really matches our Omnia II. Fits perfectly with the phone which makes it looks smarter and tidier. Easy access to all buttons. Also, a hole for our camera(this is important and only found in flip down cases - not sure about book type cases) Priced at RM99 and can't even bargain anymore. I just grabbed it since I can't find this else where. |
