Finally, AFTER updating my Windows Vista service pack 1 to Vista sp 2, updating winmo 6.1 to 6.5 went smoothly, Its confirmed, Windows Vista service pack 1 is the culprit.

my friend o2 is having some problem...every morning 1035am it will start having the 'beep beep' sound and will stop after an hour...we have checked and it's not the alarm or reminder..it's damn weird..

are you talking about Samsung Home Screen , or the overall ,

if you are talking about overall , check the background program you might have too many programs running at the same time.
if you are talking about Samsung home screen , I would say it is abit faster but still not that smooth , but i think it got better.



BTW can we do registry edits in win Mobil 6.5 the same ones we did on 6.1 ???

it has the same old design and features except they added sharepoint workspace mobile ???

am i missing something or it is the same old mobile office....?

how come the Windows Mobile Device Center i installed using the CD come with the phone cannot detect my omnia 2? my windows vista only detect my omnia as external storage devive (bcoz got extra 8gb storage card)

I mean the "today screen" whenever i try to sms,call. Need to press than wait for about 4-5 sec before entering the sms menu..Check program background no other running application.

well yea Today screen is slow , it is always have been ...
that is why O2 people are looking for alternative home screens.. such as SPB shell or TF3D...

try this on your device:

1.Start-Settings-General Settings-USB Connection: Make sure you select the ActiveSyn function.
2.Open ActiveSync on your device click Menu-Connections : make sure to select Synchronize all PCs using this connection

Try and reconnect .

As for the internet. you can either connect through bluetooth or USB.
for the settings , just click Start-InternetSharing
