interesting. i maybe interested in this device for my next try. i wanna test the gaming capabilities though. anyone available for a meet up in TTDI / 1U area? wanna install some games and test the hardware acceleration. will leave whatever i install in your phone thumbup.gif

btw, why dont u guys use the standard 6.5 plug in instead of that touch wiz?

also, where do u guys go for your cooked roms? for HTC we go for XDA devs. for Samsung? are there any cooked roms?

Hmm, the one he showed me just now was Brightstar, made in Korea.
Anyway, that doesn't matter.
the thing is, is Brighstar's really an AP set.

generally non HTC windows mobile devices tend to fall faster (the price) due to the fact that its market capture are not really win mo fanboys. More like samsung fanboys. so the price fall follows how normal phone prices fall (which is pretty fast). Case in point, the Xperia. IMHO compared to HTC seriously underpriced. good tho, for us hardcore win mo late buyers. especially second hand. drool.

3-5am, play around with the phone feature and setting, 5-7am sleep, 7-9am mostly idle except use garmin for about 15 min, 9-2pm normal use with phone and sms (less than 10 minutes talk time and 10 sms), but i have the bluetooth on all the time with earphone, 3g on all the time, connect to jaring server to retrieve mail once an hour

is that consider heavy usage??? rclxub.gif

also, my house there telco (maxis) signal not very strong, is it the main cause?
*
yes its pretty fair usage. 2 hours at the beginning with feature and setting, some drain there. garmin 15 mins maybe a lil also, retrieve mail once an hour also, plus signal not strong.

12 hours is pretty damn good actually.

the most major drains for batterywould be

GPS
Any system settings that u do, like u spending two hours keep changing themes or installing stuff, the processor is workin hard there, adjust your backlight dun put maximum on battery life. avoid constant push mail. update manually when and as u need to. also poor reception can cause a battery drain but nothing u can do there.

I think it is slightly faster and more responsive ....

are you talking about Samsung Home Screen , or the overall ,

if you are talking about overall , check the background program you might have too many programs running at the same time.
if you are talking about Samsung home screen , I would say it is abit faster but still not that smooth , but i think it got better.
BTW can we do registry edits in win Mobil 6.5 the same ones we did on 6.1 ???
I tried resco explorer install , and it did install everything however it didn't install resco registry editor , anyone has any insight about this ????
*
means your installation package doesnt include it la

I installed office mobile 2010 beta last night , and I don't see what is new about it ?

it has the same old design and features except they added sharepoint workspace mobile ???

am i missing something or it is the same old mobile office....?
Softmaker office has far more feature than Microsoft's own office.

I see so the same old registry's can be done , alright i will go look for registry  edit program , i thought resco explorer suppose to have that registry editor included..... thanks...

htc hd2 rom on omnia2

he's running SENSE 2.5, not HD2 rom. there is a HUGE difference. flashing roms meant for different devices on your device can PERMANENTLY DAMAGE your PDA, and all u have left is a very expensive paper weight. he's probably using the base windows mobile kernel and the same application files but u cannot just take any rom from another device and straight flash on your own.

and its no surprise he can run SENSE 2.5. windows mobile is versatile u can port things here and there quite easily. SENSE 2.5 has already been ported to all the older windows mobile devices as well. heck been using SENSE 2.5 BEFORE HD2 was launched here in my Touch Pro 2 lol
