anyway, will OII lag?? I have seen a lot of video reviews and found it quite laggy..that kinda holding me back from getting this phone.. |

QUOTE(lhongwuh @ Oct 13 2009, 11:14 PM) yes, upgradable by yourself, but not now..wait till it's out.hehe~ to be honest i kinda like the samsung UI.. jet is samsung ui based,OII is Winmo based, highly customizable. OII do not lag, samsung UI itself lag.mayb future firmware will fix that. anyway, there's always 3rd part UI that u can use like SPB/PointUI. |

QUOTE(Matrix @ Oct 17 2009, 03:23 PM) I think it's pretty standard. For RRP RM2399, you get everything...including bluetooh headset + 4GB card. If you buy the discounted set, usually around RM2050, it'll exclude these two items, but include other basic stuff like charger, headphone, USB cable, pouch, stylus and CD. Thanks. Just that the 'standard fmg set' offered by sellers can be somehow unclear. Some may include the bluetooth + 4gb while some do not. Added on October 17, 2009, 3:32 pm Thanks. One more question. Is it possible to backup existing ROM so that i can flash back to ori ROM if anything goes wrong?? Any guides? |

just wondering, is it easy to upgrade from wm 6.1 to 6.5? I feel like getting a SG set but then worried that I might not know how to upgrade it myself..if fmg set then i can just send to the service centre and make my life easy

hmm...i installed spb shell 3.0 into my phone and it's smoother compared to samsung UI(not as pretty though) but today i encountered one problem, I went to launcher and the screen turn black but I can still see the top bar (i.e. the start button, large indicator and the x)...it does nothing after i clicked the back button or the reject button...but i still can go into different application by touching the blank screen...
and i realized it took so long to switch to qwerty keyboard during sms...something it doesnt even switch.. still love my phone though...but quite jealous when i see my colleague's iphone is so bloody smooth.. This post has been edited by lord: Oct 29 2009, 06:34 PM |

QUOTE(pekies @ Oct 29 2009, 10:17 PM) Im using spb3.5 and it worked like a charm, almost as smooth as iphone in most cases. Maybe you should install the latest SPB 3.5.. try google it for "cheaper alternatives". i think the 1 i'm using is 3.5...the dl link i used put there 3.0 but i check my spb version at the 'about' page it states there version 3.5.0.. btw, can TS add me to the new omnia2 user list? kthxbai btw, how to edit registry of the phone? |

hey guys a question, i was browsing through my memory setting and found "main storage" and "my storage"..my "main storage" has only 512mb and my garmin, spb, and games are all under that...what's the difference between both storage?
will that slow my phone down?possible to switch/move all under 'main storage' to 'my storage'? thanks |

QUOTE(skymade @ Nov 9 2009, 09:53 PM) 1) You are browsing the "Main Storage" page where it show you the space that you consume in "Main Storage". 2) In the same windows, the program list show you the program installed into your phones NOT your "Main Storage", even you might installed to "My Storage or Storage Card", .... imagine it is "Add/Remove Program" on you WinXP. 3) Even if you installed the program to "My Storage or Storage Card". It consume some space in your "Main Storage" for certain program. Imagine on WinXP, you installed to D but there are some DLL copied to Windows folder. 4) Garmin is one of the example will installed it's main program on root folder, but user folder on where you choose from. My Garmin using the default setting, which are COM 7 and COM 9, worked perfectly. QUOTE(bluhound @ Nov 9 2009, 10:24 PM) lol..yep its its 'RTSP Bad Request'... May bad..... thanks for explaining Added on November 9, 2009, 10:29 pm Sozz... I forgot to explain this part too.... That is one quirk in Samsung's Settings app. No matter where you install your stuff (be it in main storage, my storage or storage card) it will still show under Main Storage but actually its installed in the location you selected. There are a handful of apps though which install in multiple places which skymade has mentioned. Anyway, if you are curious on where your apps are installed, you can try using file manager and browse though Program Files folder in all drives and find the name of the app you just installed.... |
