is it those problems exist on other persona se car as well or just a manufacturing defect on your car only ? the problem you mentioned sound scary to me
*
It exists on the whole range of Persona models, not just the SE.

While the squeaky noise at the back is solvable with electrician's black tape, the famous persona klunking noise is still a great mystery to all of us and is considered unsolvable. It is a built-in design fault I believe.

Some other owners have more problems than me.

And don't forget the infamous Proton SCammers. Be very very careful of them!

for the clunking sound when turning right/left....could it be the fog lamps holder as i check the holder is in metal and very close to the car chassis metal....so when we turning, the holder will shake and end up touching the chassis which will resulted as metal noise.... icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif

I drive a Red SE.  Common problems:

1 Rattling aircon
2 Famous Persona clunking sound
3 Squeaks at the back
4 misaligned meter cluster

As for the tinted film - its a joke!  That kind of tinted film you can do outside for only RM150 whole car!  Useless under the sun!  Got it stripped off and retinted for RM1100.  Best money I ever spent.
*
Oh yes I forgot the 'kok" sound coming from the lower arm, whenever one drives over a bump.

Update:

1 Rattling aircon
2 Famous Persona clunking sound
3 Squeaks at the back
4 misaligned meter cluster
5 "kok" sound from lower arm

Yes but more like a buzzing sound. I am not sure if it comes from the aircon or not. It seems to come from the glove box (which is empty) but I could be wrong.

It'll take me some time too as I need to drive my car up the service ramps that can be found on older gas stations.

i think the reset date & time only temporarily, once u enter PAPAGO X3 and the satelite searching is complete, all the time and date will go to the current time & date. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

just hv to wait a while... mine A900 also like that.
dunno if it doesn't work for u.. hmm.gif

i think the rattling sound is because of the aircon vent itself, the adjustor may be loose because mine is, adjust it a little and the rattling sound gone.

Hmm...may be what you say is true, as i did notice sometime the time go on normal. Will try it again just to double confirm. Anyway, just to ensure that this is not the device faulty else i still able to claim. Papago x3 really work great, even in sarawak. although hardly to use it in sarawak, i guess this device should work great if we bring alone during travelling.

I have my H-line persona less then 1 weeks. At the moment, i have the problem as below:-

1. Ratlling aircond, once i off it then the sound will gone. not sure what cause it.
2. Clunking sound, coming from back side. not sure where the sound from.
3. Plastic sound coming out from both front side door panel if speaker too loud.
4. Back cover of my steering is loose.

Hope no more problem coming, after this.

Btw, do anyone of you tinted your ride without take off the door panel? As my friend advise me not to do so, as the rattling sound will come out after dismantle and install back. But a lot of tinted shop told me have to dismantle, else the tinted wont look nice. Any suggestion?

Nope, tried that.

Here's my hunch for the rattling sound.

There is a loose object inside the blower casing, perhaps a washer? nut? plastic thingy?

Whatever it is, when the blower fan turns the fan blades can and will rub agaist the loose object causing the rattling sound.

However sometimes either the moving air or one of the blades dislodge the loose object. The object makes a loud "CLACK" sound as it strikes the casing wall. There it lodges against another crevice. As you drive, the car movement sometimes also can dislodge the object and if the fan blades strike the object it causes the annoying rattling sound again.

The rattling and CLACK sound is totally random and caused by both the blades as well as car movements. The rattling was already there when I collected my car from the dealer. Didn;t think much of it at that time.

So far I have not opened the casing at Proton SCammer but one of these days I will get to the bottom of this.

Has anyone tried go there to get the blower casing open?

As promised....

You need to put paddings to the engine breather hose... it is 100% rubbing against a electrical socket above the throttle body.... see arrows!!!
