where to get the insulflex??any1 selling at lyn?
*
the planning and design for persona's engine bay for the hoses etc... is really BAD. zero clearance at certain areas to take note. even the aluminium AC pipe and brake metal hose is like 2-3 mm away only. fuel hose touching steering hose etc etc...

its only a matter of time before these wears out prematurely...

u can get such insulflex at different sizes at almost any aircond shop.... i got mine for RM15 (almost 2 metres)

Oh yes I forgot the 'kok" sound coming from the lower arm, whenever one drives over a bump.

Update:

1 Rattling aircon
2 Famous Persona clunking sound
3 Squeaks at the back
4 misaligned meter cluster
5 "kok" sound from lower arm

Added on October 25, 2009, 5:20 pm
Yes but more like a buzzing sound.  I am not sure if it comes from the aircon or not.  It seems to come from the glove box (which is empty) but I could be wrong.

It'll take me some time too as I need to drive my car up the service ramps that can be found on older gas stations.

I sympathise with all of you Persona owners with the abovementioned problems. I am driving a 1 1/2 mth. old M-Line Auto & the only noisy problem or any problem I encountered so far are the rattling sound created by the rear foldable seat(which I have solved with the electrical tape). I do not know the % of Persona owners like me whom I consider lucky . In fact , before I bought my car, I was already well aware of all the problems that comes with it thru this thread. For any potential Persona buyers, my advise is that if you cannot bear with all the above mentioned problems, by all means, buy another car. So far ,I find mine satisfactory.

Do pray hard you get a good one without much problems.

Nope, tried that.

Here's my hunch for the rattling sound.

There is a loose object inside the blower casing, perhaps a washer? nut? plastic thingy?

Whatever it is, when the blower fan turns the fan blades can and will rub agaist the loose object causing the rattling sound.

However sometimes either the moving air or one of the blades dislodge the loose object.  The object makes a loud "CLACK" sound as it strikes the casing wall.  There it lodges against another crevice.  As you drive, the car movement sometimes also can dislodge the object and if the fan blades strike the object it causes the annoying rattling sound again.

The rattling and CLACK sound is totally random and caused by both the blades as well as car movements.  The rattling was already there when I collected my car from the dealer.  Didn;t think much of it at that time.

So far I have not opened the casing at Proton SCammer but one of these days I will get to the bottom of this.

Has anyone tried go there to get the blower casing open?

does your ratling sound occurs even when the aircon is turn off?for mine it only appear sometimes..but when it does even when the aircon is off the soind is still there..
ipohmali...can u let us know the solutions if u get it fix?
thks

i can understand your excitement. went through myself 3 weeks back. did all my survey (tint, rim, tyres, bodykit etc...) prior to delivery. got my tint done b4 delivery (save waiting half day for installation). after taken delivery drove straight to get my rim & tyres changed. 2 days later (could have been same day but ordered late) for my pre-ordered PU bodykit installation.

been using painted plates for 17 years. got stop by police yday for illegal tint & plates. legal plate should be fixed on or embossed. refer to jpj website http://portal.jpj.gov.my/v5/index.php/en/s...le-number-plate for specifications. as of last friday PJJ 5881.

ok..its normal....let me explain you clearer....
there are total of 5 marks.....so if you pump full tank the meter will point to the 5th mark(line)...so when decreasing to 4th mark its quite fast as its only around 5-6liters....where after half tank to 2nd last mark...its quite slow and last bar to warning light its quite fast as well.....so there is nothing wrong with the fuel gauge..... laugh.gif

You're lucky you get a relatively trouble free car but since your one is only 1 1/2 months old, perhaps the problem have yet to come up. Of course hopefully they won't.

Still its easy for you to advise people to buy another car, but not when the next nearest equivalent car, perhaps a Toyota Vios, is at least 25-30k more expensive, no thanks to gahmen protectionism.

tint only 20% vlt like alphard. brows.gif

plate spray PJJ #### with silver then followed by black paint from behind. result=flat surface & didn't follow font, size, spacing & color.

got off with verbal warning only. you know what they actually want lah especially when it's new vehicle. cool2.gif

20% only for 4 sides & rear. front, driver & passenger sides conform to jpj ruling, 65% & 45% respectively.

mine is mahjong (illegal), spacing (illegal), silver (illegal), paint (illegal)

To all IAFM owners, why sometimes the engine takes longer to crank up? Any idea what's wrong?
