Well, I’m in a different role now. My job involves recruitment and looking after new hires. Today’s younger generation is inspired by the way you dress at work, and they aspire to become like you.

From the client's perspective, everything is going well, which can greatly enhance closing a deal. I brand myself as a key part of the product to close deals rather than focusing too much on detailed explanations. It's like when someone tries to recruit you or sell an investment product while driving a Myvi versus a Ferrari. Naturally, the Ferrari driver doesn't even need to talk about the product; clients are drawn to him, eager for opportunities, and are willing to follow whatever he is selling.

financial advisor in investment banking... the income will be depends on the bull and bear market cycle.

good time may get 2 years bonus, bad time may get 4 months bonus.

so best to use bonus as saving and investment purpose rather than paying fixed monthly liabilities.

I am wondering what is the income for T15? Now they are talking about T15 won't get petrol subsidy and hospital subsidy, i think this is damn stupid, i paid a lot of tax yearly and i can't get the same benefits as others? I am feeling i keep kena robbing. I wonder if i retire, no more monthly salary, would i become B40? If so that is the thing i am going to do if they keep robbing me ranting.gif (I don't mind to take out money to help people, this is something i am doing very often, but taking away those benefits from me made me feel like i kena robbed and feel like i am not being treated equally as a Malaysian)

This can help, probably. Income by percentile, categorized by state. 2022 data.

Article says the t15 will be 15k or 20k (I assume per household). Data says 13k is too low to be mahakaya lar

The T15 income gomen set would be much lower than what you guys are earning

with that income how many of us would use gomen hospitals when we fall sick?
what for we bought so much medical insurance then?

if we are driving Mercedes, Porche better avoid asking for petrol subsidy
like those driving protons or perodua.

rationalisation of subsidy is a necessity
not a luxury we cant afford.

edited- i referred to you guys who earn above RM50k a month
should you be asking that?

While i agree with U that most of us here with >$15K pm income don't need the petrol subsidy, what makes me sad is AI is creating another boogeyman / baba yaga - pointing at T15 and shouting "maha kaya!", demonizing us. Just like yester-years' keris kissing idiots pointing to "taukeh" and blaming them for the Sun setting in the West. sigh.. the more things change, the more they stay the same.. politicians and "divide and conquer"

As much as I agree with you, accepted the facts that tax system are never fair in any country… I moved on from dwelling on it…

Only way is to make more and patch them up along the way. You probably already at your max bracket, so that 1-2% more won’t make much a dent and not having the fuel subsidy not going to steer you away from your dream toy car anyway… ya ☺️

For my case, It is not the question if i can afford it or not. I am not happy as someone who contributing more to the country but being excluded from getting the same benefits as other Malaysians. I paid lots of efforts to make my life better, and i don't mind to help people who need helps (i sponsoring my Chinese, Malay, and Indian friends who need helps a lot of money which i never expected them to give me back), but i don't like it when i am not being treated equally when it comes to petrol / hospital subsidy.

I accepted the tax system too. But now they are getting more from us by removing us from the subsidy system, making me have a feeling that i kena robbed.

Willingly to donate rm1000 to people who need help monthly - I am fine and feel happy, and i can see the money being used in the right way
Make a system to make me pay extra rm 100 monthly - i am not Ok, why am i being treated unequally as a Malaysian. And I don't even know if the money will be used correctly or not

Anyway, that was just my rant and my stance on this policy. I know nothing i can do to change this.

Just remove subsidy for all, and Gov can use the money to upskill the poor. Well, if only they get to stay in power afterthat.

That would be the right way forward. But that would make madani super unpopular cos humans are funny.

It's OK to remove benefit of others, as long as my benefit is not touched. That's the thinking of B40 and M40 and majority of people.

There's a easier method. Remove and tax petrol to say 4rm.
Every person with income tax files get 100rm per month. Simple rite? 10 million tax payers means 1 billion RM per month only, which can be covered by subsidies removal.

it should be tax credit instead of rebate...

and to make it really fair, this tax credit is refundable/redeemable (ie if credit exceeds any tax liability, the tax payer can cash out).
