hello bonanno, care to share apns for maxis 3g hotlink. i cant find the settings so i think i just have to create new one. i use those prepaid broadband plans and the apn doesnt seem to match. thanks in advance.

@Levi its like you said, some paid apps are missing in the AOSP Eclair market. Happen before with MCR ROMs. No idea why is that. I tried changing the network provider (TIM, T-Mobile) also the same. I even tried pushing new 'Vending.apk' from other Eclair ROMs, but still no luck on certain paid apps.

hey guys. I encountered a problem. My hero can't detect my headphone.
I know this could mean 2 things.
1. My headphones are faulty (which I have checked, works fine on my pc)
2. My headphone detection jack is busted. (I used it only once.)
3. Could it be the 3.0 update causing me this?

About radio.zip will updating it to the latest make my headphone work?

try spinning the headphone jack around when you plugged into hero and see if it works. are you using the default earpiece? for me i never use the original earpiece and i encounter this problem occasionally too. the audio jack is kinda crappy

Aiya... i just finish settle the Android Market problem.. but now come the second problem.. I couldnt see any PAYED APPLICATION in market...

I think i saw smwhere how to fix this.. but cant find it few pages back... can any1 guide me so I can access the payed application? Appreciate ur guys' help

- what do you mean by apk android widgets ?? is "android widgets" an apps ?? the file installation for android apps format is .apk
eg. pandora.apk , flashrec-20090815.apk like .exe format for windows .. u can search/google-ing FREE apps for .apk files .. paid apps ?? sry cant tell u .. i got my warn lvl increase becoz of this infos if i post here .. lol

-icon missing ?? u did install the apps ?? u can launch or uninstall any apps if u have the .apk with Astro or Linda file manager by click on the .apk files

u JUST can see paid apps but not downloading it tru SlideME and Market Suggest apps .. to downloading it ?? u should check out Shahz thread inside pinned area

There are many ways to get to paid apps in Market. The easiest is by using MarketEnabler. You can follow shahz' tutorial for that.

I personally use MarketEnabler. Not the app, but the underlying script of MarketEnabler. I refuse to use the app because I don't like it. The UI is horrendous.

You may want to use an alternative, described below :-)

1. Search and install Gscript.



2. Copy and paste this to Notepad.

3. Save it as T-Mobile.sh
NB: Observe the extension. The extension is .sh. Not .txt.

4. Copy and paste T-Mobile.sh to gscript folder in you sdcard. Create the folder is the folder is not there.
NB: I like Graphis Girl :3



5. Now load the T-Mobile.sh from GScript. Just click Load file and pick the T-Mobile.sh inside your gscript folder.



6. Run the newly imported script
NB: Ignore the stderr error.



7. Check your Market :-)

The script to check current Market is described below. Just make a .sh script with whatever name and load it from GScript.


The result will be something like this:



Tips: How to check if you have paid apps or not? Just look at the main page of your Market. If you have Featured apps with icons and title, then confirmed you have the paid apps.



If you have the Featured apps blanked, without icons and titles, then you suck. No paid apps thar!

There is another way of getting paid apps without MarketEnabler, this tiem using adb method :-)

Do you mean the stock Android widgets? I dun think it has a standalone .apk like the Htc one. I think the widgets reside in the apps itself.

For the HtcRingtoneTrimmer.apk, it works in the background. It can be access when u wanna set ur mp3 as a ringtone.

how much is the amrket price for new one now??

Bonanno, I dont get it with your instruction No. 6. Where should I select HTTP (in my HERO) and enter to find proxy address and proxy port?


As for no. 7, could you please give detail instruction on how to find MMS settings (in my HERO) in order to select server profilew? I've been using HERO for 2 and half months and cannot send MMS after rooting....

Digi have detailed (step by step) instructions in their OCS under MMS settings or something.. I am using MCR 2.9 with MMS for months now..

Guys.. i have questions.

Do i need to flash to 2.73.405.66 before I apply MoDaCo 3.0 ? Im still in 2.73.728.5

And where do I process to upgrade to Android 2.0?
