I have 3G on permanently, though I switch to Wi-Fi sometimes when I'm at home, and I do a lot of SMSing. I also do a fair amount of note-writing and occasional browsing. My battery usually goes down about 1/4 or 1/2 by end of the day.

Though I always charge it at night while I'm sleeping.

Edit: Anyone managed to install Barcode Scanner onto their Hero? I've tried with no success. It's also ironic how some sites ask you to scan the barcode to download the application... when I don't have the scanner >_>

I use Maxis prepaid, no plan. 3G always on. 1-hourly update for every apps which includes twidroid, Babbler, Remember The Milk, K9, BeyondPod, and gapps. Not much surfing/youtube.

Topup RM30/month.

I don't know if it's unlimited or not.

Last time I downloaded somewhere 5gig from H connectivity onboard of a diving vessel. For free. I asked Maxis and they said they have problem with data connection at Penang that particular week.

Oh btw, ElmI does 2.0/2.1 fixed the infamous .thumbnail bug? I have 2gig of graphis girl in my sdcard and to wait several seconds to have the pictures come out kinda turned me off ;_;

Picture gallery is missing in AOSP 2.0. Right now have to settle with 3rd party apps from market (Picture Viewer, Photo Burst).

I've tried the leaked Hero 2.1.Cant remember bout the gallery coz only tried it for a few minutes then revert back to AOSP 2.0. Too many issues for now (market, contact not working). If u want to try and play2 only can, but not reccommended for daily use biggrin.gif.

Right now im playing with Modaco 3.0. Based on 2.73.405.66 build and Teknologist 1.9 Kernel. Overall this build is much snappier and smoother thant the previous 2.9 and 2.8. Touch and multi-touch is very sensitive and more smoother.

But im already hooked with AOSP 2.0. Cant get enough of it and might revert back later lol. Remember Nandroid is your friend. Always backup when u testing ROM. I have 5 diff ROM on my nandroid backup. biggrin.gif

And Lox Hero 2.1, v1.4 is out and available at http://is.gd/5bRiA. From his Twitter, this one is a fully working ROM. However, from his post at htcpedia, this build got bug & error.

I'm going to give this a spin.
