I've not encountered any problems regarding the data connection on my Hero so far, only when travelling. Then the mobile network would disconnect randomly for a while especially when browsing. Using Maxis here.

It's out of stock in Mid Valley? Only about 2 weeks ago I was trying out a set at PDA Expert.
I got my set from Fresh Gear in Digital Mall- I think Low Yat Plaza or Digital Mall would be a good place to search for it. The only difference I can think of during the PC Fair would be extra freebies. I bought my TyTN II during the PC Fair promotion period at Fresh Gear Digital Mall (At the normal price at that time), and I got extra free stuff like leather casing, Bluetooth headset, travel charger, travel holder on top of a 4GB MicroSD card. In regards to the size of the Hero, this is lifted from the official HTC site: Dimensions (LxWxT) 112 x 56.2 x 14.35 mm ( 4.41 x 2.21 x 0.57 inches) Display 3.2-inch TFT-LCD touch-sensitive screen with 320x480 HVGA resolution This post has been edited by Yukaeshi: Nov 21 2009, 01:10 PM |

I got a 8GB MicroSD with my Hero though.
Unless you're also very good at repairing PDA phones yourself (Or don't mind trying to do it), getting an AP set shouldn't be a problem. And also, even though the original phones are covered with warranty and service, it takes time for them to actually repair it, etc, so be prepared to spend time and have a spare phone ready in case of anything. It's not always speedy. That said, I own an original set XD |

The standard accessories that the SIS set comes with are:
2GB MicroSD card (Although I got mine upgraded to 8GB for free) Charger adapter USB Cable Stereo headset I've never bought a phone during PC Fair myself, but as I've mentioned earlier, the only difference I experienced during the PC Fair promotion is extra accessories, which if you think about is quite worth it too. Just that I don't know if it applies to all shops that sell the phones |

I have 3G on permanently, though I switch to Wi-Fi sometimes when I'm at home, and I do a lot of SMSing. I also do a fair amount of note-writing and occasional browsing. My battery usually goes down about 1/4 or 1/2 by end of the day.
Though I always charge it at night while I'm sleeping. Edit: Anyone managed to install Barcode Scanner onto their Hero? I've tried with no success. It's also ironic how some sites ask you to scan the barcode to download the application... when I don't have the scanner >_> This post has been edited by Yukaeshi: Dec 2 2009, 01:00 PM |
