i don't care about all of it, as long as latency is low.

they don't cap based on heavy usage. currently they cap certain area for testing before they officially do fair usage policy.

i have 2 streamyx SOHO, and Office 2.4 P1. My LB only got 2 WAN port. so, i put P1 + 1SOHO. another SOHO as a backup; light usage guess once a month. But since last 2 weeks, they capped on my both account. I conclude they cap speed for my area. I ask neighbor, they also capped to 40Kbps.

I'm looking forward for AMAX Wimax which offer unlimited usage. They just launched in my area.

wrote about problem, thier plan to cap speed, why tmnut is bad, whatever u feel about their service.

the capping is done via a physicall installation at your exchange. So far 4 exchanges have been installed with the 'snooper' devices to identify heavy downloaders.

these are the details i've gotten from shitmyx. so you betcha they are doing the testing now. its just a matter of time it would be extended to all exchanges.

You kidding me?
If it's really like this, then TM is doing right.
Well, at least price is cheaper and more and more people can enjoy higher speeds with lower price.

But the current issue is not every location support 4Mbps.

but the question is, how much will we be capped??

1M - exceed 10GB (from 1M bandwidth will get only 384k???)
4M - exceed 40GB (from 4M bandwidth will get only 512k???)
10M - wait, no limit laugh.gif...but is this for sure??..even now they can't satisfied 4M users...10M how leh?? worth paying RM220 if the service still sux??

*and also, they need to change CS personnel too...those people are truly ignorant fools...doh.gif

whatever it is, nvr trust them at all. Their promises are worse than sh!tty politicians.

we don't have a way to complaint 'bout their act, even via MCMC (as they sleep together, mind you).

Yea, at least 20GB for 1Mbps then it's good.
But for 4Mbps and 40GB... Hell yeah..

Why don't they sell bandwidth?
Extra RM10/GB if exceed.

Also don't forget, other country pay half price of the 10mb, get the same speed or better.

But then again, it is unlimited. But is it unlimited bandwidth? I don't think so.... Tmnut are very sly in their wording and behind scenes actions doh.gif

Most likely you pay RM 220 for a 10mb with limited monthly bandwidth, and heavily throttled. Cannot use p2p, latency sucks, lots of dead packets.....
*
A very, very high possibilities of happening..even now some of 4M users are being capped at 40kbps...maybe those of you subcribe for 10M package will only get around 4M only...while 4M will get 2M and 1M will get only 512k connections...well, who knows?? mad.gif

TM can always change their T&C.. shakehead.gif

No I am not a fakap,
I am saying this because I'm not a heavy downloader.
Come on brother, it's just my opinion. Why take it so seriously?
We're all on the same boat. All are victims of TM.
